As someone who has actually watched it............meh.
I have seen better exploitation movies, Caligula this is not.

@Kazuki_Fuse: basically this, the advertising for this movie was just damn good though so people assume it is worse than it is.

It's actually readily available in most large movie store chains. I see it in HMV all the time. It's also not half as shocking as people make it out to be. Compared to what you'll see casually browsing 4chan these days, CH ain't got shit. Most of the movie is pretty boring actually, too much shaky cam and poor acting. The only scene mildy disturbing was when they hack the turtle up. All the scenes of cannibals killing people are so shaky and blurred you can barely tell whats going on. People like to talk it up cause 'muh edge'.

I'll agree with this but only because its boring as hell.

I watched that one a few years ago because I literally had nothing else to do and basically just thought, "meh." Then when PA: 2 came out on dvd my roommate and I rented it and the consensus was that it was possibly the least scary horror film ever made... and I'm sure a lot of the advertising for the movie had quotes from writers saying "scarier than the original" and had nightvision shots of a seriously spooked out theatre. Like, most of the movie takes place during the day and one of the "scarier" moments revolves around a pool vacuum that has a mind of its own. It wasn't even anywhere close to being so bad that it's good either. And it's soooo boring. I can't really stress enough that it's incredibly not worth watching. Makes the first one look like The Thing or something.

Well, I've watched Ex Machina and it blew me away. That tension. That food for thought. That house.

You're all doing this wrong. The last movie you watched should ALWAYS be Mad Max: Fury Road.

^ you do know that they were fucking on the regular after that film, don't you? And that they got into a car accident that killed a person in the late '80s.

Interesting factoids of the day.
Among the people who use the Internet, many are obtuse. Because they are locked in their rooms, they hang on to that vision which is spreading across the world. But this does not go beyond mere ‘data’. Data without analysis [thinking], which makes you think that you know everything. This complacency is nothing but a trap. Moreover, the sense of values that counters this notion is paralyzed by it.

Matthew Broderick and Jennifer Grey dated after the Ferris Bueller movie for a while. Film-sibling incest, ahoy.

Had you not seen it before last night? Absolute crying shame. I heard it was phenomenal as a 3D movie (which you really can't say about a lot of 3D films).

You're Next- 9/10

I was in the mood for a slasher film, watched it on a whim and it satisfied everything I wanted to see tonight. Naked breasts, great kill sequences, suspense, lots of gore, some black comedy and even a couple twists I didn't see coming. I am quite pleased.

I saw Ex Machina last night. Overall a good movie and i liked the conversations with Caleb and Eva. I was disappointed with the ending though that i saw it coming from miles ahead.

Still an amazing debut for Alex Garland (i love his books) and i can't wait to see what he will do next.

To me, the ending was so obvious, I was surprised when they actually went down this road, lol.

Apart from the ending the whole last act felt disappointing to me. I was expecting more. Despite the ending being obvious i was hoping they could ''play'' it better. Also the movie had some dumb moments like

SPOILER: Show

- the dance scene came out from nowhere and i started laughing cause it was so akward
- also how did Caleb got access to Nathan's computer so easy? Nathan is a genius, yet he doesn't have a 2 step verification that even gmail has today?
- how in the world Nathan didn't realized that Eva was the one behind the blackouts since all of them were occurring during her meetings with Caleb?

Also since you saw the movie i want to ask you a question that i keep asking to the people who saw the movie.

SPOILER: Show
Do you thing that Caleb is a robot? I know that in one scene he cut himself and we saw blood but here is the strange part for me. Early in the movie there is a shot where he is lying on the bed and we see his back. Unless i am mistaken his back had some weird scar and the camera focused there for a second. Also in the scene where he cut himself as he was watching himself in the mirror there are some strange lights flashing on his face/eyes. Some people told me that probably there was a cam recording behind the mirror but why put a camera behind the mirror when the place is full with cameras? It's not like he doesn't know he is being watched. Only one time Nathan put a hidden camera and that was because he was suspicious of Eva who/which is also a robot.
