In trying to give everyone crowning moment after crowning moment of awesome? Karen with the upgraded Guren that blasts a hundred enemies a second? What Lelouch did in the end of 20 and 21?

The whole thing is rushed like Escaflowne, and like Defectron says, the Evil Emperor seems to be a Seele member. Couldn't they have come up with something different? :gendo:

V wrote:I am totally obsessed with it

it is a very good show

but WARNING: the first episode is godawful. GODAWFUL.

But literally the second episode is then BRILLIANT

so my advice, don't let the bad first episode throw you off

I completely agree with what V says
I got hooked the first episode I saw
It's kinda a political thriller with a lot of twists and suspense

Apparently this is not how the director or writer (I forget) envisioned it?

I started watching the anime. GOD I WAS SO MOVED! It shows Japan, how it could be under occupation. Under suffering. Through suffering, it will breed those who will stand up through the ashes. It fits so well with one of my option that Japan should at least once properly suffer if it is going to regain its glory. Aside from that (and those rather... iffy constumes) it is alright (as in above average, but not the best).

I guess you haven't gotten very far then. You do know that Lelouche isn't even Japanese and that Japan is just being used as a chess peice the entire time, right?

I know he isn't Japanese, and I know Japan is just being used. BUT I see that one of the only ways in which Japan can get out of its present idiocy, is to suffer properly.

And I like the way Lelouche has gone to great length as an avenger.

The only thing I can't figure out is whether he's technically a "bad guy" at this point.

No the Celetic tribes kicked Rome's ass....witch makes one wonder why they have such a Roman influnece than.

Their in Amercia, they have the same city names, the "terriroties" have the same name. (there is a New York, Calforina, and Texas...at least)

Its an Amercia where the English left their homeland, and renamed Amercia to Brittina, and made it their new homeland. Its not Amercia, but the audience is supposed to assosciate Brittinia with Amercia. Becuase even in a Sci-Fi anime, we kick their asses or at least they can't let it go.
I won.

In an alternate universe, you never know what happens and can't be sure that things went predictably. New York, California, and Texas weren't named at the same time as America in real life, for sure.

The Bastard King wrote:It's Death Note, except it's actually good. The emo was replaced with mechs.

Death note was good, there were no emo's in it, although the DN fandom has a healthy dose, and as NGE fans we're in no place to judge another show by its fandom.

code geass has gone to shit shit. i would know. i watch it. first season was kind of good. since r2 the mech battles are all beamspam and flying, not much interesting anymore. the plot involving lulu's parents is lifted from evangelion, minus the storytelling skill.

Code geass has some awesome moments, and overall is relatively entertaining. The show's strongest points are the characters, there's a large cast, different fans like different characters.
God, Apparently you all have been discussing Q since November. Catching up on the discussion is harrowing.
