Sounds like it failed the Tines test for you.
Tried giving it a chance myself, but the execution of that second episode was just so, so awful. Not worth the effort.
Mmmyup. Pretty much this.
This show has an annoying habit of having inner monolog overlap with dialogue; whilst this might keep the pace of the episode rolling, it does play havoc with one’s eyes. I’ve adapted to reading text along the bottom of the screen, but not the top and bottom simultaneously:
Is it the trying to look like something out of Ghibli but produced with a TV-budget and schedule backgrounds that aren’t doing it for you? Or are you put-off by Fairy-bums?
Come on, Rob. Fairy-bums are glorious.
By the way- am I not supposed to hear them clearly say “Sleigh Beggar”?
My Girlfriend is Shobitch. Teen rom-com, with lewd humour. Since fan-subbers are taking their sweet time translating the latest Seitokai Yakuindomo OVA AND film (would be a nice Christmas present for this year, as it was last year), this is having to serve as my instead in the meantime.
Gags are very hit and miss. The unappealing character design doesn’t help, there’s something about the eyes that looks off to me. Maybe if there were more Fairy-bums to sweeten the deal…
Kino’s Journey (2017). Um… am I supposed to just accept that motorbikes can talk? Or is it just the one?
Watched Dirty Pair: Project Eden after Dr. Nick mentioned it. Went with the Streamline dub specifically so I could hear the famous Braille gag.
Very silly film; the bouncy animation was nice and all but with no real stakes or intrigue to the plot I found myself yawning a lot.
The Bond-ish OP turned out to be the main highlight, unfortunately. Worth reposting the link.
I don’t think light-sabers would work this way:
If you could impale the blade that far, wouldn’t it just keep melting away at the base and…
Food Wars. With the arrival of Erina’s father it looks like we finally have a big, mean baddie for us to boo at, and for Soma to vanquish with the power of yum.
O-faces are one thing, but I didn’t expect to see traumaface in a show about battle-chefs:
Hilarious. I love this cartoon.
