I feel Ami-chan should be at least be third place or even second place. I watched Madoka, Sayaka was alright, but in my order favorite anime series it goes, Sailor Moon, Eva, Madoka. ;) Well, Sailor Moon and Eva are tied for first place. -o-; But, everyone has a soft spot for their first series. ^_^ But, I like Sayaka, but I like Ami and Rei better. ^_^

I liked Sayaka and Homura the best (well, mainly Sayaka after Rebellion). I felt I could emphasise with Sayaka's character, and her fighting style and theme colour really clicked with me as well.

It's not really a rehash since we don't even know what went on in the 2.22 impact and the one in 3.33 was averted, they also didn't go back to a familiar starting point.

But we aren't back to a familiar starting point : it's still the same system with the Wraiths that was barely touched upon in the series, with only some additional quirks due to Homura's tampering.

Familiar in the sense that we have the same girls in the same environment and they are probably going to be doing the same thing, transforming into magical girls to fight the Witches/Nightmares/Wraiths, which are all basically the same thing as well. There are minor alterations but the basic setting remains the same.

Yep excluding Homura and Madoka (for obvious reasons) she is the most popular in terms of preferences by fans, polls etc maybe cause her story is the most interesting and more developed compared to Kyoko's and Mami's.

Personally i like Kyoko more....

I feel that Mami and Kyoko would be more popular if their common story were shown on screen (there was an audio book and later manga adaptation of this, it happens one year or so before Homura contracts), but their story is extremely dark, especially Kyoko's once you get in the details, and really emphasize on how contracting means leaving being you old life and how it can utterly destroy your family.

Well, yes, that's the basic of the series, it's a Magical Girls story. It would be like Evangelion without the mecha fights, even EoE had its mechas with Asuka vs the Harpies.

Kyoko is my favourite, personally. She has the coolest weapon, the coolest costume, she's a redhead (well, burgundy-head), she's obsessed with food, she's a badass ex-Christian (and in some fics, a badass preacher)... She is perfection. Or at least she would be if she had possession of Mami's Mammies. As such she is merely almost-but-not-quite-perfection.

^You are a man of taste.

Also, I have heard dreadful rumours that Mami's Mammies (yes they must always be capitalized) are in fact no bigger than Sayaka's. this is of course a heinous falsehood concocted by heretical nonbelievers, possibly as part of a diabolical plan to deflate the Mammies.
Here lies Squigsquasher.

Mami has the bigger rack, Sayaka goes second.
Also, Mami has the advantage to not be full Japanese according to the creators (the most common theory is that she's half Italian due to how she names her attacks), while so far Sayaka is a full Japanese, which makes her relatively generous rack pretty rare.

Damn, this really reminds me of the Rei v. Asuka boob debate. Now, keep in mind, it's not size that matters. It's all about shape and hand-feel.

Right, but we have seen its starting point three times already, and it's only slightly altered each time, too much is too much.

Yeah, Sayaka and Kyouko and definitely my favorites in the show.

Also, can I just say that I feel that Madoka Rebellion feels more like Evangelion than any of the rest of the show? Course, its main difference is that it keeps the themes in the background, rather than forcing them onto the viewer (3.33 says hi).
Proud fanboy of Rei Ayanami. :p

This is like 50th time you've made this post. We get it.

And no there's pretty much nothing Evaesque about Rebellion, even less so than original series (which shared the whole grimdark approach to particular genre thing at least)

I think he's referencing on how part of the movie is a mindfuck seemingly without sense (the first half of the movie before Homura starts noticing that everything is wrong) and how the ending subverts everyone's expectations : you wanted Shinji to fight his final battle and finally finds his answers? You get a complete mental breakdown and the end of the world that they tried to prevent during the whole series! (although Shinji aborted the thing and found his answers)
You expected to see Homura finally joining Madoka in their Space Yuri Valhalla? Nope, Homura decided that Madoka burdening the grief of all the MG sucks and that she's sick of being a victim of circumstances : ALL HAIL HOMUCIFER!
