That's from 'Der Mond' isn't it? Did Sadamoto release it before or after he worked in NGE? If its the latter, is there any indication that the above pic in particular predated NGE?

I could be wrong (don't have Der Mond handy just now), but I seem to recall this was from some pre-NGE project that Sadamoto worked on.

edit: found Der Mond online; here's the note for that image:

I dunno, I may have made an unwarranted assumption there, but it makes more sense to me that that pic pre-dates NGE...

The image is indeed from Der Mond. There is some sort of Blue-eyed red-headed girl that could be seen as a proto Asuka, but I'm not going to look into it too much. The above image looks like Rei and Hikari to me.

Is SEELE running a cafe? I can definetly see Nigel running a really...err different kind of establishment (read gay bar). It's not like Keel can consume the coffee....guess he just hopes if he dumps enough shots into it it'll taste okay.....probably not an establishment you'd want to visit.....It's time for more of the Adventures of the Commitee!

It was just another day at the SEELE cafe in Tokyo 3....
Peirre was sick of his duties as a waiter at the SEELE cafe in Tokyo 3, the customers always mistook him for a girl and called him ma'am, and it didn't help that Vlad was to drunk to ever actually work. It wasn't his fault he was born with a feminine face, "Maybe I should take Teddy's advice and cut my hair" he said quietly to himself. As Peirre headed back toward the kitchen out of the corner of his eye he noticed Vladimir passed out drunk face down on the ground.....

It says the name of the author. Names in Japanese are a complicated issue, specially with translation soft. I think it's more like Tomita Hiroaki.
