For the record, I'd see the That 70's Show-vangelion movie atleast a few times in theaters... It'd be a disgrace, but atleat it'd be funny. And Hyde might actually do a semi-decent Toji.

So so far they finished doing the blow everything up scenes....

Now they have to put everything back together so they can shoot the normal scene.. Image

So why is this suddenly not sticky anymore?

Since it's pretty old news now, it's no longer a hot topic or an essential topic. I'm sure that this or new thread/threads will be stickied if something big happens - like if a trailer is released.

The two "sticky" spots are being taken by the Commentary project now. I guess Sharp-kun thinks they're more important. Image

Am I the only person who thinks those concept art poster thingies are totally badass (with the exception of Rei looking Japanese)?

If you are refering to WETA's concept art, then yeah, you are in the minority here.

It won't. The concept that is being worked on right now is a movie that contains the events of the first 13 or so episodes.

I read that it would not be an attempt to summarize the first 13 eps; rather - simply based on the world of Eva (NewType). I personnaly think that this is the only way to get a positive responce from the movie. Anyway, just my take!

The World of Eva?? What is that?

The only thing that I've heard is that it will only cover the early episodes (1-6), not that I have any sources or anything. I'd find it extremely hard to beleive that an American Live Action movie would be made about post 3rd impact Evangelion. Not only would it have no plot, but it would alienate nearly all of the fanbase - only people who have seen Evangelion would be in the right place to view the movie, and out of those a lot of people won't want to see Evangelion in live action form.

Maybe they'll do 1-6 ... see how that works out, then do the rest of the series in a trilogy form if it's popular. o_0
That might be cool.

It might be popular but since its based off an anime a lot of people will think its just kids stuff or similar to a scifi original. It wont have the turnout of Lord of the rings (hate that crap>).

I never thought about it like that. People would have to see EoE in order to get what was going on.

That depends on how faithful it is to the source material. If they alter it so much that it doesn't even reflect the same meaning anymore (which is highly probable) then EoE really won't have any bearing at all on the LAEM.

I think that even as a live action movie it would have to be half cg. It would also be to short to be as good as the manga or tv show.
