I think it looks creepier than the old Eva-06. I certainly like the darker colors.
(Was Board Staff from Dec 31, 2007 - Oct 17, 2015 and Oct 20, 2020 - Aug 1, 2021)

This new trailer puts my hype even higher!

EVA-06 sure looks like a modified EVA-01. In addition to the halo above its head, I'm starting to think it's the remnant of the original EVA-01 from the series / EoE. :w00t:

The Mari shots aren't almost entirely different. They reflect Mari's constantly changing character design. The change in Mari's location is interesting, but I thought

If so, then it's not like anything really changed, they just came up with a better preview.

As for the Mari scene, I wonder if they really decided to alter the scenario since then... or they were just being 'cheap' (maybe in a hurry?) about drawing the actual buildings, so they put those other pretty shapes in there instead... the "locations" of the things make me suspicious... :p

It seems those Eva-making guys are really bad with deadlines... ^^;

I love the great quality. The Evas look great, Unit-06 looks a little different but still cool. I can't wait till the movie comes out on the internet in good quality.

I'm really hoping both 2.0 Next Time trailers could be released with an Eva release (1.11 AND 1.01?) stateside, both takes on the trailers are great.

I agree,watching both trailers you can see the major changes that went along with that delay of the movie.Now they need to remake the series intro,that would be awsome.

The only complaint I have with the new trailer is that Unit 02's fall is awkward. She doesn't fall straight down; she's "nudged" to the left a bit every few frames or so.

Yes, I do find it rather annoying that practically nothing they showed in the original trailer ended up being in the actual movie as shown. Particularly the absence of the crossplosions is disappointing.

Okay, I just compared the new Eva 06 to the old one, and it looks more like a giant mechanical rabbit as opposed to the menacing space samurai the old one was.

I blame dramatic lighting.
