Sahaquiel didn't have to explode like a bomb to create a huge blast in the first place. Sahaquiel must weigh upwards of a hundred tons, and the gravitational energy of dropping like a meteor from orbit will create quite an impact crater, stripping away every layer of defense Nerv has in a fraction of an instant. Meanwhile, because of his AT field, Sahaquiel survives to initiate impact with the now exposed Lillith. Its actually an eligant plan that requires no fanciness in Sahaquiels body shape/type.

Now does that make sense? He may look like a child drew him, but it is so simple as to be eminently threatening. I personally really liked that episode, and the catch scene was one of my favorite of all the series action scenes. (EoE's harpy battle still has it beat, though)

Maybe he assumed she had an AT field too? Plus she is buried underground a long way. And hell, he could have used his AT field to protect her as well. Its not that much of a stretch. I really don't understand where this hate for Sahaquiel comes from. Its quite a smart angel.

I know what you mean , i was kidding, it's just that i think this "design" don't fit the level of the Story in my impression, allthough it is up to the soul of the angel which appearance he has.

It would actually contain images of characters OTHER THAN Rei and Asuka, as well. Amazingly enough, some of Sadamoto's NGE illustrations include the other characters / Evas, and, even more amazingly, he's done work on things other than Eva!!! (Alpha in fact precedes NGE completely.)

Might be worth getting eventually... But back on what little topic this thread has.

It's just I hoped for more (silly me) and come on, it is clear a lot of the stuff is gonna be Rei and Asuka in goofy slutty outfits that completely go against their set character. IE- Rei smiling in a nurse outfit and Asuka as a maid on all fours or some crap like that.

He's done the famous "Gothic Lolita Asuka" pic, and maybe you could find a couple of others of the type you describe, but Sadamoto doesn't really do many of these kinds of illustrations. The majority of his NGE pics are either (1) straightforward montages or (2) Rei (preferably in her plugsuit, with bandages).

Now, if you look across the entire spectrum of NGE illustrations produced, by ALL of the artists thrown together, then, yes, you will find quite a few "OOC Rei and Asuka in goofy, slutty outfits".

Just get your facts straight. ;p

That potentially suggests episode 16 events being maintained -- or possibly they just have Misato slapping Ritsuko for a different reason this time.

What with Bardiel and Zeruel apparently present already, and Asuka introductory storyline time being required, Leliel just doesn't seem like it has a chance of really "working", or even being desirable.
