I don't think there has been any official news of any licensor at this point. Just chill out people.

It's not even in the theaters yet. You're going to have to wait until around Dec./Jan. before you see this on R2 DVD.

Actually, Manga made a statement that they were "ironing out the contracts".

Kaworu/Asuka - give it a chance!
(Clarification - I still like Asuka/Shinji)

Do you have a link? There's nothing on Manga's website (although I could have missed it, 100% Flash driven websites fail hard), and the usual sources like ANN and ANS mention nothing.

sauce = source

And I have my doubts that ADV would let Manga get Rebuild. Although it is entirely possible. ADV must have realized that they fucked up when they let D&R and EoE go.

Yep. ADV got the series, Manga got the movies. Technically, Rebuild is movies, so...(shrugs shoulders)

But Manga's license was only for D&R and EoE, not Rebuild. I do seem to remember Manga saying they were trying to get ahold of the rights to the Renewal D&R and EoE. Maybe that's what you are thinking of? Honestly, it just seems too soon to have any official announcement on the licensing of Rebuild.

No rudeness intended, sir. I just have Tourette's. I believe that the statement was made about the Revival of Evangelion movie
Manga is in the process of obtaining the materials and ironing out the contracts to release the Renewal version of the Evangelion movies. They hope to have those versions of the films out sometime next year if everything works out

Well, it seems I was mistaken. Looks like another WIN situation. Manga is probably not doing the movies, and you all get to laugh at me as introduce my head to the nearest vertical obstructor of horizonatl movement. EVERYONES HAPPY!

Manga aren't even real players these days, there's no way they could beat out ADV financially.

...Thank fuck. Every time I see that "WELCOME TO THE APOCOLYPSE" on the little EoE insert poster on my wall, I want to tear out a vein. Manga are sloppy, sloppy, sloppy bastards.

@Indigo: Just make sure you can substantiate a claim before making one, that's all.

And don't worry, Reichu, I will

Chances are nethier of them are going to get the rights. Their is going to be a huge bidding war. Eva is after all a hugley pouplar anime. My bet would be FUNimation. Who knows...ADV may fight tooth and nail for those rights.
I won.

Refer to 1:11 in the trailer.

Lol, wut?

Though I feel silly that no one actually did point out my retardedness at the fact Toji is indeed in the trailer. He grabs Shinji after all.
