You're no fun
I mean, predictability is the central attraction and the narrative hook that we've all come to expect from the Evangelion franchise. How come Anno can't realize this? Twice? - FreakyFilmFan4ever

There's a ton of youtube videos of the same crap now, probably reuploaded a dozen of times too, funny how nobody could be arsed to do it yesterday.

I added a youtube link in the description of my dailymotion upload, it's a lossless screencap dumped directly on youtube, only alternative I can do is make an encode from it.

Wait a moment...
I'm a bit confused. Wasn't this video supposed to be a preview of the petit film?
The main page says it's the final version.

I watched this thing, immediately felt embarrassed that I was watching it, and thought, "People were actually looking forward to this?"

Even if it was artsy fartsy, it was enjoyable because it held little nods to Evangelion. That's just my opinion of it. ^_^

I think it's more interesting than good. There's a second vocalist on the recent "Peaceful Times" who has a better grasp of English than Takahashi, pity they didn't use that portion. Wonder how much input Sagisu had on the visuals. Did he request the biographical stuff, or was it an Anno tribute?

Big kudos to everyone for piecing together Final's opening scene (maybe). Hopefully it's not a red herring. I'd like to see these versions of the original three pilots interacting for a significant stretch.

Yeah it was enjoyable, but I can't stop to ask myself, what was the point of it? -o-;

Well at the end if the day it really was more about promoting sagisu than eva
Among the people who use the Internet, many are obtuse. Because they are locked in their rooms, they hang on to that vision which is spreading across the world. But this does not go beyond mere ‘data’. Data without analysis [thinking], which makes you think that you know everything. This complacency is nothing but a trap. Moreover, the sense of values that counters this notion is paralyzed by it.

And so we arrive at demagogy. - Hideaki Anno, 1996

Not to spark a debate about art, but I think it was just something that Sagisu wanted to do. It was his story and his way of telling it. Technically, what we think is for us and us alone, and it is just as easily irrelevant. I loved it, though. ;)

Isn't it more likely that the storyboard images that have the three pilots in the desert are just storyboards from Q? The details might be different but the jist of it is the same as what we saw at the end of Q, and who doesn't remember all the storyboards from Ha with all kinds of crazy things we never saw in the final product? So a little change like Shinji being catatonic instead of standing on his own wouldn't be out of the realm of expectation.

Also: Wow, Seele00TextOnly is back!

Well, after watching this, I decided to look up the definition of a petite film. From what I can tell I'm guessing it means very short film that lasts no more than 5 minutes.

It was said earlier in this post that the reason Sagisu did this was because this was the last time he would be using the Peaceful Times jiggle. He must really like that jingle.
Just a guy who likes Anime. Could be turning into an Otaku...
