Just so you guys who are not entering in the Q sub-forum know, both tropes and wiki have been updated with 3.0 spoilerific info. Tropes is behind spoiler-proofing as normal, wiki has (at time of writing) a brief plot synopsis.
"Fuyutsuki, When children are given their drivers license before being given sole responsibility for the survival of humanity, mecha anime will have crossed a dangerously illogical threshold"

thanks for the heads up. tvtropes is usually a spoiler minefield no matter how diligent the writers are- sometimes even the mere presence of a trope can be a spoiler

Evageeks is the safest place to be right now.

Seriously, these forums are the only place where you'll find a thoroughly enforced spoiler policy, with judges, jury and executioners that would make Dredd jealous. You can't even scroll down safely when watching a preview video or trailer for Q without running the risk of being spoiled by youtube comments.

You can say that again. I can't even scroll down my Facebook Wall without running the risk of seeing pictures from the artbook. Some of the Eva-related pages I follow have thankfully implemented spoiler policies of their own, but the danger is still there.

I got a big spoiler from J-List of all places. Peter Payne saw the film over the weekend and then promptly posted character designs on his blog and his email blast. Then he let out a major spoiler in his review.

Unfortunately unless Khara can turn this film around fast on the video release I'm going to cave in by T-day.

Yes, I'm having to stay away from anime sites and discussion threads entirely.

It appears the biggest problem with waiting for a BD release won't be my will power at all.
