Azathoth, for the fragment of the prologue of a novel that H. P. Lovecraft wrote in 1922 and never continued. He reworked pretty much the same concept into The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath, also one of my favorite Lovecraft pieces, but "Azathoth" is probably my all-time favorite of his works, and a perfect example of everything wonderful about Lovecraft.
Of course, the name itself was also repurposed for Lovecraft's blind idiot god Azathoth, lord of all things, monstrous nuclear chaos beyond angled space, who is rather endearing in an "oh shit everything's fucked" sense. And Blind Idiot God were an amazing band, too, while we're at it, so there's something else.

Nothing is so valuable that it need not be started afresh, nothing is so rich that it need not be enriched constantly.
I guess once a username is chosen, you cannot change it, right? Of course you can create a new username but that would mean lose all the history. So if you grow to hate your username, I guess there is little one can do about it...
I never thought I would come back to Evangelion after EoE,
But I discovered Re-Take (or it found me?) and
now here I am.

I don't think double accounts are allowed, symbv. Where is your name from if I may ask?
Cool to hear Azathoth's story btw. I had the slight suspicion it was something like that.
You should have totally used that one.

Thanks Seele00TextOnly for explaining. I have thought even mods would not be able to change username without impacting the history (old posts, statistics etc) but it seems that mods do have the necessary power and it is up to their discretion after all.

Mine comes from Operations of Naval Intelligence organization in the Halo universe. They always struck me as the unsung heroes, getting the data that you hear about in the games. Shadowy, clandestine, but well-meaning. Kinda like NERV, I guess? It's just been my name across other boards since then.
AVATAR: Zer0 from Borderlands 2.
Well, might as well jump in.
Mine is partly based on the Lord of Dreams, from The Sandman. And partly on the concept of dreams and what they mean to people, as well as exactly what constitutes a dream.
Also, it's a simple and (i feel) a nice/good-looking or interesting username

Once upon a time there was a little tiny village in northwestern Spain. From it immigrated, decades ago, a couple and their young daughter. Years later that daughter had her own daughter, a fangirlish creature who spent far too much time on the Internet. That little girl needed a username so she chose the name of the little farming village as her username for all kinds of things. Thus, the internet's Xacebans was born.

I had no Idea you were Spanish, so that makes three people so far including myself.

I'm only half Spanish and live in the US, but I speak Spanish and Gallego and have been to Spain eight times. It's nice to know I'm not the only one here with Spanish heritage. :)

I've been using this username on the Internet for as long as I can remember, so I might as well continue to use it until the end of time or something. It comes from a time when I was obsessed with airplanes, so CX stands for "Cathay Pacific", and the 1329 is just a random suffix. Not the most brilliant of usernames, but it's got an entire INTERNET TRACK RECORD.
