Yeah. You read right. This is for everything that doesn't have anything to do with Eva.

I just finished Starship Troopers this morning. Will take me a bit to formulate my full opinion on it, but overall I was pleased. I play a lot of science fiction video games, so it was nice to read the origin of the tropes that are so common today.

I must say, though, I was kind of disappointed in how acceptable it was. I had read that it was relatively controversial, so I went in expecting some outlandish ideas that would surely provoke some form of outrage, however I didn't really find it that out of the ordinary.

The second novel is where the anime's decay becomes noticeable.

I read a novel called Nineteen Minutes recently.

It was actually really good.

The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha

I had forgotten how great this book was.

Also, i can't help but find Quijote's crazy antics to be hilarious, sad, amazing and inspiring at the same time.

Not as ashamed as a certain person who hasn´t read a single non-comic book for a whole year now, save for Yukikaze, mandatory school reading books and a few LNs should.

I was 26, I think. That doesn't excuse it.

Just finished up Ottaviani and Myrick's Feynman. Sometimes the best stories are true. Also a good antidote to nothing but George R.R. Martin for a month.

I've been catching up on my reading lately. My mother used to have this Kindle knock off e-reader. She loved the concept but really couldn't figure out how to use it. This last Christmas she got a Kindle Touch, which she is thoroughly enjoying. I got the knock off and loaded it up with some books of my tastes.

I've read a few Terry Pratchet books recently: Feet of Clay, Men of Arms, and Monstrous Regiment.

I also read some of H.P. Lovecraft short stories , The Dunwich Horror being the only name that stands out at the moment.

I quickly reread Of Mice and Men and I'm starting The Grapes of Wrath [/b]

Finished Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? yesterday. I think seeing the film multiples times soured the experience.

I'm about 100 pages into Childhood's End now, and I'm enjoying it much more than Do Androids etc, and I'm not sure why. I think I just enjoy Clarke's writing style a lot more.

Sounds like I should pick up Dune? I was going to last week when I saw it in the book shop but didn't since I was pressed for time.

It's a classic; it's one of the earliest works where the science being used as a prop is ecology.

Uncanny X-Force by Rick Remender is the best non-event series Marvel has put out this year.

Just finished Dean Koontz's 77 Shadow Street. It's kinda like The Mist, only the nature of the creatures is thoroughly knowable and explained. I prefer my creatures half-lobstered and oozing out of the todash darkness. If you're into nanotech and autistic kids, Koontz is for you.

Warm Bodies, by Isaac Marion.

People are saying its what Twilight did to vampires, but those are people that actually like Twilight.
It's more like what Interview with a Vampire did for vampires. Only with zombies.

I liked it, anyway.

Which movie did you love? There are around 10 movies named "Cyrano de Bergerac". Perhaps you mean the one from 1990 which seems to be the best known?

Finished 1945 by Robert Conroy. Not as good as the other alternate history novels I've read but I did like it.
