Heath Ledger is dead

Yeah. You read right. This is for everything that doesn't have anything to do with Eva.

My condolences, because this thread is not nearly full enough of them.

Fred Phelps is seriously gonna picket his funeral for being a good sport to gay people. But he's threatened to this kinda thing before, so no biggie.

No angels and no ghosts, no real victories to toast
If you believe that this is true then I must ask;
to what end do you proceed?

Ditto. This was rather a shock. Good actor that I never really heard much about outside his films.

It's already happened. I read somewhere that they are going to do this on the day of his funeral, which would be the ultimate disrespect.

f*** Fred Phelps

there, somebody had to say it, might as well be meh :soapbox:

I just hope this arse hole of a troll and his cult in Kansas doesn't turn into Jonestown (Jim Jones/People's Temple/origin of the phrase "Kool Aid drinker" :koolaid:) or Mount Carmel (Waco), TX (Branch Davidians/David Koresh/showdown with Federal agents) or the Fundamentalist "Mormons" scattered out west who practice things like polygamy and child brides

Glad to hear that there are people who don't tolerate loons like Phelps. I wish more people had that sort of opinion where I live, it'd make things a lot better...

I have one, my father...he happens to be a pastor too (no I'm not fucking with you why do you think I became the refutaion on Judeo Christian beliefs...because I learned about them first hand.

From him I also 'learned' the world was only 4,000 old, dinsouars lived on Earth with man, and anyone who believed in Evoultion was going to hell. He also still voted for the Democrats because they are most likely to support universial healthcare, where going to outlaw firearms, be better to those on welfare, and on postive note thought republicians where rascits.

He hates Phelps....but only thinks the man is over reacting.

Speaking of Huckabee, I can't believe that guy. He believes in bibilical inerrancy and then talks about supporting NASA? Give me a break! If the sun were to stop as Joshua commanded, where would Astronomy be? Would the Astronauts have visited the moon, or would future missions to Mars be on the table if that were the case? I don't care if he calls his beliefs Doublethink, I call it hypocrisy, plain and simple.

It's because the xtian right wingers are a bunch of hypocrites. Yeah, he says he believes in biblical inerrancy in front of some audience, then supports the NASA in front of the others. If you get him a base for it, he'll even say he supports abortion.

Anybody voting repukes deserves a couple of lifetimes in Guantánamo. Ye, that includes the new local nutjob for disilusioned bushies, Ron Paul.

Ye, he'll keep his word, you know, about 90% of African-American being active or potentially criminal. He'll destroy the Fed allright. Also, he'll diminish the state to the level where it gets blown by a gust of wind (neverminding that there will be a new political structure to replace it, a private one. You know, privi-legos, and all that it means, negatively, to the little guy). You'll go back to the gold pattern of course. Great choice to spend the right for which so many people died. You know, died to create a state where you could choose your representatives, same as demote them.

I don't try to vote on how much confidence I have in the candidate. I'm old enough to know I shan't give em none. I don't think there'll be a candidate that will wrap the flag around me, so to speak, I'm not that ingenuous anymore. I generally vote "against" something. If I were American, I wouldn't be voting FOR Dems, I would be voting against Bush, his legacy, and all that he means (And R.P. falls into this last category as long as I care). I would use my vote in some realistic way to provide change against the things I don't like, rather than throw it on ideological preferences.
