G'day. Long time reader, first time poster (lol). I marathoned Eva some time ago, after my grade 12 English teacher recommended it, specifically saying"watch it - do not watch it all at once". I must say I am glad I only followed half of his advice, as seeing it all in 2 days was quite an experience. Since then I've re-watched the series as well as EoE repeatedly and become a rather rabid fan of Anno's work.

I started watching anime only about a year ago while stationed in the west pacific. One of the first ones was the evangelion series...just awesome.

Yo. Figured I'd quit lurking and register. Interesting place you got here. Hadn't watched Evangelion in a few years before the other day, and back then there was really nobody talking about it seriously (or at least intelligently) that I could find. Glad to find this community. Quite a bit older now, so I've finally actually begun to grasp the deeper meanings in evangelion. Watched episode 1 on VHS when I was like...10? Quite a few years ago.

My fondest memory of eva is watching the scene where Kyoko Soryu hangs herself in front of an adolescent Asuka and crying for like 2 days because I was like 11 at the time, permanently scarring me and making me the film-watching-crybaby I am today! Good times.

Anyway, looking forward to things here.

I was first introduced through the Rebuild continuity, and I'm a Kaworu/Shinji and Shinji/Asuka shipper, but my personal favorite is Kaworu/Shinji/Asuka. I'm totally anti-Shinji/Rei, because she's essentially his sister. But I have nothing against possible Kaworu/Rei (as strange as that may sound).

I have personally preferences for all those pairings myself (for those who don't actually know that. Though Misato/Shinji/Asuka is "hawt" and cute in a strange way too.), but my main favorite pairings of what you mentioned are actually Kaworu/Rei and Shinji/Asuka (S/A are pretty much my OTP of the series and such).
