Yeah, it was badly titled. The article itself was fine.

So the question is: Would Fiat Chrysler had actually bothered to do anything about this if Wired didn't setup a shock video of a public test (though he was still going over 40 and had his hazards on) instead of just doing a closed test in a parking lot like they did with the Ford Escape and Toyota Prius? No. Warnings were never heeded when results and video was released from previous tests (which contained much more frightening things in those live demonstrations, like disabling brakes and taking over the steering), but nobody did anything except maybe say "we're working hard to keep you safe". Right before the Wired article was posted, people had to download the firmware upgrade and either install it themselves via USB stick or go to a dealer.

More people squabbling about banning literature? To echo PW, this is nothing new-- there will always be those who do not understand the context in which a work is written, and they are few. Even in that article, it cites the numerous people and groups that oppose the idea of banning Dante's Divine Comedy.

I'm interested in the fact that Tatsunoko is interested in remaking Speed Racer. Seeing a new version would be pretty cool (particularly if this version is not directed by the Wachowskis.) This probably also belongs in the Anime/Manga subforum.

It makes sense. News sites are all in it for ad revenue and clicks. "Man arrested for domestic violence" is, sadly, more common (and, therefore, less interesting) than "man arrested for running over ducklings with lawnmower".
