Aeon Flux... Kick ass or suck ass?

I have moderatelly high hopes being that this may decide whether or not other anime live action projects be put into production... The trailer dropped my interest pretty far, but this new clip (labled, "Storming the Complex") changes my mind a bit:

I am happy to see that it returns to it's roots a bit in terms of ultimatelly disturbing ideas. Who knows, might be a box office hit and pave the way.

I never really thought of AF as anime. In any case, I didn't let Spider-Man 2 sour me to Batman Begins, because there would have been absolutely no point. This, like any anime, is bound to have low points and at least one high point; it is representative of nothing but itself.

If I let every video game movie ever made determine the merit of future possibilities, then a stuffed drawer in my bedroom would be totally empty.

If the cartoon (NOT ANIME) is any indication, it will be miserable viewing experience. I didn't like Aeon Flux, it was just too uncohesive, and its over sexual nature was almost ludicrous. I wasn't sure if they were trying to make science fiction or porn. Either way, it failed.

Peter Chung has a knack for coming up with the ugliest character designs I have ever seen.
The purpose of writing is to inflate weak ideas, obscure poor reasoning, and inhibit clarity. With a little practice, writing can be an intimidating and impenetrable fog!

Peter Chung's style is as if someone took Egon Schiele's artwork and turned it into uninspired crap.

Is this the guy who directed the last anime segment in the Animatrix? ... Ehh, "Matriculated" I think.

Yep, that's Peter Chung all right.

Aoen Flux looks okay. It'll probably be a cool, all style, no substance action flick, quite like ELAM will probably turn out.

At least the first Tomb Raider movie did what it said on the tin (OK, so it had no underwater swimming, no dinosaurs and no rabid dobermans in Italy).

Though I have yet to see the trailer, I came across the poster for this thing. A poster is all I've ever needed.

I watch my first two episode of Aeon Flux weeks ago, and i stop watching and thinking about it!! (until now..)
It was bad, and yeah like monkey said..it got too many sexual theme on it. Which make it looks ridiculous!!
Anyway, you know they're making the live version of it?

The live action version would be what this topic was based upon...

Actually Aeon flux the anime does have some interesting things in it, the demiurge episode was kind of cool. My problem is that peter chungs style or storytelling is too ambiguous, in that stuff just sort of happens.

I saw the cartoon and I was bored out of my mind
I have too much anime, yet it's not enough. Anime Addict, if it were a drug; I'd be dead.
