Aparently ya'll havent seen what a gundam can do like I have. The RX-78-2's beam rifle has been proven to punch a hole in a Zanzaibar-Class Battle Cruiser lenghtwise. I don't think EVA armor and flesh would stop that. And thats with a Generation One Beamrifle. And realisticly Shinji, Asuka, and Rei would have little to no chance against trained professional soldiers with such weapons, end of story.

Still don't agree.
Unit 01 substained damage from the beam of Ramiel. And in the series we saw what that beam could do.
Some say that Eva could even substain a nuclear blast.

Well maybe, Ritsuko did seem to insinuate that Unit-01 could survive the blast from all those N2 mines during the campain against Lieliel... But still the Mobile Suit has a distinct advantage over an EVA with the fact that it can fly.

Name the times that one beings AT field has been penetrated without the use of another AT field. It is quite literally, impenetrable. It is the light of our souls, a sacred barrier that no one can penetrate. No gundam could stand a chance against it.

No problem. I got a friend who seems to believe that the RahXephon could beat eva unit01. We argue about it all the time, so I have a little experience argueing over Eva versus other mecha battles.

Grr... darn you and your AT fields.... But it has been proven that enough energy could pierce one... although a 7 MW Beam Rifle wouldn't stand a chance. Okay ya'll you beat me. I concead defeata

Yeah, and who was firing the gun? Unit 01. And what was Shinji taught to do in every fight? Neutralize the enemy's AT field with the Eva's. I doubt that beam would have even scratched the angel if Unit 01 weren't firing it.

FAr enough that you can't project it. N2 Mines have also been shown to be able to blow through AT Fields, but only to a limited degree. Probably because they expend to much of thier energy actully punching through it.... though I bet I you droped a colony on an EVA t hough it wouldn't survive....

What's with the Gundam hate? Can't we just say the fight would be a draw so they both would win? That way nobody's feelings would be hurt. :P

Of course the Eva's could survive a colony. Remember the floating Picasso angel? That thing had enough explosive power to turn Tokyo-3 and the surrounding area into the pacific ocean, and unit stepped right in front of it. Unit 01 incurred some minor damage from this. Eva could take a colony no sweat.

Saquhieal was maybe about half a KM across but a colony is more like 15 miles there, plus has greater mass. Besides you've all seen what Operation British did to Australia, blew almost half of it off the map.

Yes but Sahaqiel also had the strength of it's AT field increasing the amount of energy released upon impact.
