What's interesting is I remember reading in an issue of Otaku USA (an issue that was on the shelves in March or April 2012 but meant for June 2012--I thought magazines are only a month ahead of time so that surprised me) that stated Panty and Stocking would be getting a June release from Funimation. I wonder how the dub's going to be, considering all the Engrish swearing?

I'm more concerned about how much will be censored... At least audio wise...

Why would anything be censored at all? It's releasing direct to DVD.

That said, I hope the dub script will replace some of the monotonous swearing with more creative raunchiness. "Fuck" and "bitch" all by themselves aren't very imaginative uses of profanity, especially when repeated ad nauseum every couple of minutes. This is a show that deserves some colorful swearing.

I thought one of the humorous points of the swearing WAS the repetitiveness.

Also, since the whole show pretty much lives and dies by the crude and silly humor, censoring anything would be the stupidest thing ever.

Can't imagine a BD won't hit shelves the same date. I mean does anyone still release DVDs & Blurays on different dates?

Anywho, I could care less about the dub. I want my perfectly awful Engrish you Fadderfacker!

In Japanese, maybe. In English it'd just be redundant and make the dialogue seem unimaginative. I'm not saying the dub shouldn't have swearing, I'm just saying it should be creative about it, rather than literally carrying over every "fahck" and "beetch".

Hmmm... I'd hope for all the "beeps" to be merely to launch the trailer to a larger audience and that they're not in the final product...

I like Panty's voice, though...

For the last time, it's a direct-to-DVD release, there is literally no reason why Funimation would censor the final product.

Anyway:
