Oh Jesus...

Now stuff like this is getting me worried that Rebuild will be all preachy and stuff.

Sunny days make you feel good. Rainy days make you feel gloomy. If you are told this is so, this is what you believe is so. But you can have fun on a rainy day as well! Your truth can be changed simply by the way you accept it. That's how fragile the truth, for a human, is.

But we love Eva for being all human psychology-ish! I do not watch Eva movies to be lectured on why pollution is bad.

Sounds like Anno could be making a bid for his old sensei's mantle...

Hah hah, that's the very first thing that popped into my head. Image

Rei would make a great treehugger. (Except when she becomes giant, naked, and white and destroys the entire biosphere.)

I feel morbidly fasinated by this.

Eva is about people screwing up and giant pseudorobots killing stuff. If I wanted ecology, I'd go hug a tree on Earth Day or something (who the hell invented Earth Day, anyway? Lamest excuse for a "holiday" ever).

What's this about Anno making a bid for his old sensei's mantle?

They're talking about Hayao Miyazaki, whose movies (Nausica, Princess Mononoke, etc) tend to have strong ecological,"tree-hugging", themes. Anno worked for Miyazaki on Nausica way back before Gainax even existed.

It's just a minor script change.... in the show, the winter seasons are gone due to "Second Impact," but in the movie, it's due to "Global Warming." Tiny detail. Won't affect the plot. Image

Oh, really? I didn't know he worked under Miyazaki. Curious.

Hahahahaha XD

Global warming caused the melting of the polar ice caps and thus Adam was released, along with Megatron.

You must view the <brief> glory of the God Soldiers!

I thought the two went hand in hand anyway, with what resulted in the in series environment (there's is a lot mentioned concerning it, early on.

Or he can read the manga. Did you know that Adam's and EVA-01's Wings of Light emit serious amounts of radiation?

Also, read this: http://www.evacommentary.org/images_...anime-died.zip

So who pulled out the Spear of Longinus? Oil conglomerates?

Well in that case, their reign wasn't so brief...

Maybe it was Halliburton? They'd be my choice to rebuild the world after Third Impact.

This is interesting. It adds a new layer to the "kill or be killed," relationship between the humans and the angels. Perhaps this is a new reason why the angels attack, they started attacking because the humans were destroying where the angels lived.
