Yeah as the title of this topic says, list four--so it won't be long-- of your favs movies..
Mine:

1-Titanic --> I love that movie! I know i'm hopeless romantic! ^_^

2-Battle Royale --> Brilliant! I can't wait to read the book, i've heard that is better than the movie..

3-Halloween--> My favorite thriller..Michael Muyers is really the "boogyman"!

4- The Count of Monte Cristo--> I didn't expect it to be that good.. The book was great, but the movie was greater..
Anime and manga unite us all. Much better than the Olympics. - Carl Horn |11.30.2004.
"As of this moment, we are changing from soldiers to pirates!" - Captain Jeffrey Wilder (Macross Frontier #22)

3.) The Boondock Saints Best movie i've seen in a long time

4.) Sin City Bruce willis is still the man, and Frank Miller still has that Dark Knight Returns magic. Darkly fantastic movie.

Four, eh? Tricky. There are so many different sorts of movie; and some that are good are not as rewatchable than some that are quite cheesy. Meanwhile ones I really liked many years ago, I'd not rate as highly as something fun but not amazing that I've seen more recently. So I'll list four films that I've seen that you really ought to have too

Revengers Tragedy - a Jacobean revenge play (the video nasty of 400 years ago, condemned at the time as the work of a sick mind).

The Twilight Samurai (or Yamada's more recent The Hidden Blade)

Millennium Actress - my kind of romance movie

Diva - as something gratuitously French (but I could have put something by Besson, like Subway; or Jeunet like City of Lost Children, or A Very Long Engagement; or perhaps Salomé's Arsène Lupin).
Reminder: Play nicely <<>> My vanity publishing:- NGE|blog|Photos|retro-blog|Fanfics &c.|MAL|𝕏|🐸|🦣

I won't count EoE, even though it is in my top three all time...

1) The Natural

2) Goodfellas

3) The Matrix

4) Dr. Strangelove

Not including anime, and in no particular order:

  • Fight Club- As big a mind fuck as Eva, only without giant robots and with Brad Pitt! HOO DOGGIES. The novels great as well.

  • Revenge of the Sith- Because RotS made up for that steaming pile of Sith that was Attack of the Clones and, IMO is the finest SW film.

  • Blues Brothers- We're on a mission from God!

  • Jeff Waynes Musical Adaption of the War of the Worlds- It's not a film yet, but it will be. Oh yes. My Preciouses, oh yes, it will be...ULLA!

Tell me, is something eluding you, sunshine?
Is this not what you expected to see?
If you wanna find out what's behind these cold eyes
You'll just have to claw your way through this disguise!

Okay...
1.) Godfather 1/2 (equally perfect)
2.) Pulp Fiction or Jackie Brown (hard to beat *Tarantino plug*)
3.) Terminator 1/2 or Aliens (best SciFi flicks out there *Cameron plug*)
4.) Saving Private Ryan or Black Hawk Down (best of Spielberg/Scott)
5.) End of Eva... simply astounding

I have no life

I am a creepy Matrix obsessive nut person.

I have a 12 in GI Joe like action figure.

I skipped school to see both Matrixes.

I...I love Keanu Reeves *cries*

Picking four is hard because my tastes in movie changes so often. A month from now I could redo this list and at least half of it would be different. But as of right now the top four are.

1. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly- My favorite of the Man with No Name trilogy. This has always been one of my favorites and it has the quintessential music to make a great western. Eastwood’s Pale Rider could be a close second.

2. Get Shorty- It’s funny and sometimes I just want laugh at not have to think.

3. Far and Away- It’s my fiancés favorite movie and I ain’t stupid so it’s one of mine.

4. This one could change at a moments notice but right now I would say Saving Private Ryan. More for it’s opening than for the rest of the movie as it attempts to show what our forefathers went thru to win a just war.

Crap! I totally forgot to mention Real Genius with a young Val Kilmer and Fletch, the movie with greatest ratio of one-liners to minutes ever...

The End of Evangelion (Of course)
Jeder für sich und Gott gegen alle! (aka. The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser)
Monty Python and the Holy Grail

These are 4 I can come and think of at the moment... The other Kubrick and Herzog movies kicks ass too. :)

Meh. I don't dig movies. But if I had to chose, then I'd pick Yojimbo and The Seven Samurai, both by Akira Kurosawa.
