Their and Battle Angel fans on the board?

This is a great example of a manga being translated into anime form very badly.

Do we have any fans on the board? If so chime in and let yourself be known.

Anyone know if they ever made a sequle in manga form?
There was an EVA Nerd here, but now he's gone.

The OAV of battle angel alita was the first anime that I had ever seen, I believe it was on the sci-fi channel. A couple of years afterwards I came across the first 2 editions of the manga and i suddenly remembered seeing the female lead in the movies, so i purchased them. I really need to find the rest.

So yeah I'm sorta a fan ; )

Sorry that I know very little about BAA but there is nothing I am more excited for than Cameron's Battle Angel coming 2007!!

I haven't read any of the manga, but I really liked the OAVs. And I'm looking forward to see what Cameron cooks up. Hopefully the fact that it is based on an anime will be emphasized, and help to bring more mainstream legitimacy to anime.

Yeah, battle angel last order is one of my favorite manga. I also like the regular battle angel manga a lot too. The anime was ok but I really like the manga of it.

The anime sucked, its really sad that such a good story got done that bad.
