In the "End of Evangelion" how do Shinji and Asuka get from their respective Evangelion units to the beach in Tokyo-3?

They turned into lcl and then came back.

They were on a shore, their LCL washed up on the shore and formed their bodies or their bodies formed in the LCL ocean and were washed up. Either works in my opinion but the idea is they were washed up on shore from the LCL ocean.

I don't know, it would have made the scene very hard to pull of if they were naked. Think about what the audience would think when Shinji sat on her to choke her......

Yeah, I guess we can go for the "It's just an anime" theory. Or maybe Monty Python style where the animator draws clothes for them.

Well one thing is that they wouldn't want fan boys getting "excited" in the movie theater after seeing Asuka TWICE naked.

Yes, there's always the "just a cartoon" theory. Though I personally reasoned to it being that it was the way they had imagined themselves when they returned from the sea of LCL.

i think its because Shinji thinks or imagines or whatevers himself like that..just like how he creates the plug suit where there is nothing (after beating zeruel) there is also the fact that in EoE he is practically god...

Well I assume your talking about the time when Shinji got absorbed into the Eva with his street clothes on, but then a plugsuit came out instead of his clothes.

Yeah I was, and Ritsuko said that Shinji's ego border (or something like that) was giving physical form to his plugsuit...
