I wanted to start a CYOA, but couldn't really decide on what I wanted to do. So I'll let you people choose for me, lets get this started Pokémon style!

Hello There! Glad to meet you!
Welcome to the world of EVANGELION!
My name is GENDO IKARI, but most people refer to me
as COMMANDER, or else. This world is inhabited
by creatures known as EVANGELIONS. For some, they are
mankind's last hope against the ANGELS; others use them
as tools to bring about a new genesis for mankind.
Now let's get started....

1. Are you a Boy or a Girl, because I seriously can't tell.

2. What was your name again, I forgot already. (I'll pick the one I like best)

3. What position did I hire you for anyway?

A. NERV Tactical, work under CAPTAIN KATSURAGI and develop strategies and battle tactics for the use of EVANGELIONS.

B. NERV Technical, work under DR. AKAGI and help maintain and advance the EVANGELIONS.

C. Got any better ideas?

4. Is there anything special about you?

A. Nope, I'm just a normal person.

B. I'm actually a super secret agent working for "THE BIG G".

C. I'm actually an ANGEL in Lilin form, I just don't know it yet.

D. Got any better ideas?

The main character of this CYOA is going to be non-canon, I think it will make the story more entertaining by keeping it a little less predictable. Besides, there is already a great Rei Ayanami CYOA.
I like the idea of Shiro Tokita coming back for revenge though, I'll write that down for later.

Not as many votes as I would have liked, but whatever. I'll post an update sometime tomorrow. Male/Female tied so I'll flip a coin or something, s/he will be working for NERV Tactical and is a normal person. The story starts about a week before Sachiel attacks.

Ok, lets get this started for real. You are Sophia Hoshi, a 27 year old Canadian/Japanese woman. Your life in Canada was never great, and Second Impact only made things worse. Both of your parents were killed in the Russo-Canadian war that followed SI. This inspired you to join the Army as soon as you could, sadly by then peace had been declared. One day you received a mysterious letter from a Gendo Ikari...

SOPHIA HOSHI

My name is Gendo Ikari, I am the Commander of UN Special Action Group NERV. It has come to my attention that you wield considerable expertise in your field, expertise that could greatly benefit NERV. Included in this letter is an urgent flight ticket to Tokyo-3, Japan, it will be accepted at any major airport, and a guest level access card. If you are interested in employment at NERV, come to Tokyo-3 when most convenient for you and call the phone number on the back of the guest card. Because of the highly classified nature of our work I can not go into detail of what you will be doing but I can assure you it is of the utmost importance to the continuation of the human race, and the pay will be considerable. You will be compensated for your time should you choose employment at NERV is not for you.

I read the letter one last time as I exited the plane, still wondering what this Special Action Group NERV wanted.

The only "expertise" I have is military theory. I've never had any real combat experience, and I didn't even graduate in the top of my class! Even if I was some top level expert, wouldn't they want someone local who knew the land? Sure, I'm half Japanese and speak the language, but I've only been to Japan once, and that was before Second Impact...
I guess I shouldn't be asking myself questions I can't answer. For whatever reason these NERV guys want to give me money to do something, might as well find out what.
Choice Time:

1. Find a phone call the number now, might as well get this over with

2. Get some rest and something to eat, that ten hour plane ride was a nightmare.

3. Take a walk, it will give me a chance to clear my head explore the city.
