Yeah. You read right. This is for everything that doesn't have anything to do with Eva.

I might film something tonight.
Also, I've just found out that there will be some conventions in March; I'm not sure which one(s) I'll go to yet. I'll definitely go to Comic Con (not the real one) in April, though.

Um... That was not what I expected.
I probably don't have any footage that I can display here... or on Youtube in general... well, I have some photos of two cosplayers (because there were just two). Please stand by.

I go over the Nintendo DS game, Super Princess Peach. Please feel free to check it out and if you like it leave a like and leave your opinions in a comment over there or in reply here! :D The next games on my list are planned to be the KOTOR series and the Lunar games on PSX and DS.

Well, here's my footage from the event. Well, a fraction of it. I obviously have to cut away before any "characteristics" are fully exposed.
This is the playlist. STAFF EDIT: NSFW. RISQUÉ CONTENT

I'm going to upload the photos of the (two) cosplayers, that were present, to my gallery in a short while.

I finally sorted out my home workstation. No longer the chair I rescued from an office move 20 years ago, and no longer just the one screen, on a desk that leaves it just too low to be comfortable.

^ I think I asked if you had two screens before. In this day of age, working with one screen leaves me positively irritated when I'm working on a project, and I'm considering getting a third.

For now though, 3840 by 1080 FTW.

Um... I couldn't deliver on the photo thing. EveScintilla doesn't like her expression in the pictures, so I won't upload them. I need more practice with the picture taking thing.
But I'll go to a multifandom convention tomorrow.

It's an accountant's thing -- left hand on the mouse, right hand on the number pad. Having accustomed myself to the setting in the days when we just had the one shared PC at home, I find it a natural way to do things now.

The dual screen set-up (3360 x 1050) is new as part of this set-up -- but then I didn't even get on the bandwagon at work until a couple of years ago : the option used to be one 24" 1920x1200 or 2x19" 4:3 screens at sub-1080p resolution (they may have been 1024x768 *shudder*), then we went through a cost-cutting exercise, and quite a few of the big screens freed up.

Ahh. My keyboard doesn't even have a numpad. It was to conserve desk space, but I'm steadily regretting that decision...

I officially have to clean out my childhood bedroom, as I haven't lived at the house for over a year and others are in need of the space. I'm scheduled to drive over tomorrow and begin the process.

I'm not looking forward to it. I have every intention of casting off a fair number of my belongings, but I also am very anal retentive about HOW I do it, which obviously creates slowdown and obstruction. I've been thinking about how to approach the problem in a way both I and my family can live with.

It seems to me that non-trash items can be divided into three groups:

(A) Keepers: These can be moved to the apartment if they can fit, or packed away if they can't.

(B) Toss-offs of little to no resell value: Simple -- box/bag them up and give them to Good Will or whoever will take them.

(C) Toss-offs of moderate or greater resell value: I like making a few bucks on my old stuff, and the knowledge that I've re-homed something. Problem is that this takes time to do. I figure I might set these items aside and take care of them once the room has been cleared out. If I fail to meet this goal within a reasonable amount of time, then this stuff will be disposed of as per Group B.

Keeping the nephews out of the room while I work will be annoying. They just love to walk in and dig through all the boxes stacked everywhere. Aunt Rachel may need to establish some boundaries. :irked:

I've been a bit more musical lately. I'm currently enrolled in an electronic music and MIDI class, and we just turned in our loop composition project-- basically, a three minute track made up entirely out of pre-recorded samples arranged together. It's not perfect, but here's what I turned in for the assignment. Enjoy! https://soundcloud.com/pippi-kw/pippikw_proj1

Next we start working with MIDI, so I should have some new songs to share in near future, stuff that I compose myself from scratch. :D Excited.

It's mostly an anime convention. This one is distinct with its stage performances, which I've tried to subtitle.

I started playing Napple Tale (adorable Japan-only Dreamcast game) and was so piqued by the bits and pieces I managed to understand that I decided to just use the game as a training tool to get better at Japanese. My main save is hovering at a point right before the end, and meantime I've gone back to the beginning via Nico playthroughs and another save so that I can type up the game text (good for working on kanji recognition) and try to make as much sense of it as I can. When I get stuck or confused about something, that's my cue to spend some time studying the relevant grammar / vocabulary.

I dunno how long I'll stick with this, but I must say it's been useful for keeping me distracted while trying to conquer my sugar addiction, so that's something.

I've just attended the first day of the Hinode convention, I'm gonna go to the Geek Wars Night next, and the second day of Hinode tomorrow, and... like, three more events in May.
I'll be putting together the materials from the first two events over the next week.
