TheMessiah: Thank you! For some reason, I did not see that idea. That one sounds much more logical. Awesome! what kind of deck did you have? Rider-Waite?
Asuka Langley: It was hard to choose one person for that card. But I think Kaji fits a little better. He doesn't show much fear, but "illusion" and "imagination" are great for him.
Well, for the most part, every card I am satisfied with but Wheel of Fortune, the Moon (maybe), the Sun, and Judgment. So sketches and ideas would be great. Just tell me what card you want to work on, and I'll give my general blueprint, but any suggestions are welcome.

you might have answered this but is this deck going to be produced and sold?
Actually...if this goes well enough, I think a lot of people are interested in Evangelion, the tarot, and/or both would like to purchase one. Of course, I would need to print cards, laminate them, and package them. Or I could find a publisher. If there is a small group of artists willing to create drawings, there could be a partnership and we could make some money. i think a lot of people at conventions would buy some. It might even renew peoples' interest in the tarot/new age movement!
(I am such a dreamer)
Heh, but for now, I think just getting the cards designed is top priority.

I may not be much of a new age person but these things allways facinate me. If I see 'em I buy one as well.

Thanks for the support. Oh, anything involoving astrology, numerology, tarot, palm reading, and the sort interests me. The religion I agree with the most is Buddhism. Infact, if anyone would like a tarot reading, IM me on AIM and I wouldn't mind giving one.
To any artist willing to contribute: If you have a specific card you want to do, just drop me a line, and I'll offer my idea on what the card should generally look like (aka represent).

That's true.
I couldn't really think of imagination aspect for Misato... other than her tactical creativity.
(did you want the artists to PM you with the cards they want to draw for you?)

First off...thanks for the compliment! I'm probably going to recolor "Just a Doll" soon. My cg coloring for that was a quickie, and I really need some practice with photoshop anyway.
Hmmm...I wouldn't mind trying those out...I haven't drawn those characters just yet, it would be a pleasant challenge!
I have three preferences though: The Lovers, Death, and The Star. The Lovers because of the pure mushiness of it. The Death card has always been a fav (at times, a dislike also >P) and drawing a "reaper Kaworu" should be interesting. Hikari has always been I favorite of mine...so I would love to do her justice in The Star.
Six cards would be rather time-consuming, but if you're patient enough and not in much of a rush to get these cards out, I wouldn't mind doing even more if needed. How are you doing the layout for the cards? You know, like borders, symbols that may relate to the card's power, text, etc. - are you leaving those up to the card artist, or are you going to leave that up to someone else? Why I ask is because each card should have a simliar layout, so should the single card artist worry about it, or just draw the specific scene for the card?
I definetly think you should hire Nephilim for anything mecha related...he rocks at that!

* RELATIONSHIP
* SEXUALITY
* PERSONAL BELIEFS
* VALUES
some reason the lovers fits better with Misato and Kaji than Gendo and Yui
we dont see much of Yui's personal beliefs while Misato's are evident(BEER!)
not getting into Kaji and Gendo
sexuality is most definitely given to M&J
values >_>, cant help you on that one
