Version 2 released

Now made in Adobe Flash, the new version that should be compatible with Mac OSX and Linux too. If you have mac or Linux and you get it to work please post it in this thread and I'll add it to Opening Post.

New features as 2.0:
* Cross platform (kinda)
* Better preview
* Some customization
* Smaller filesize
* Improved icon

I was bored and had nothing to do, so I made this screensaver. It's a copy of that iPhone app, but I think it's pretty cool.

Oh, what it does is that it shows you the time.

Includes:
* Windows installation program
* source .sfw flash file.
* Mac OSX .saver file.

Installation on Linux

Ornette wrote:Gentoo Linux:

install "gnash": http://www.gnu.org/software/gnash

In your ~/.xscreensaver file, add in the "programs" section:

"Eva Clock" gnash --fullscreen $HOME/movies/my_flash.swf \n\

Replace Eva Clock with the name you want to see in your xscreensaver config. Replace the $HOME stuff with the path of the evaclock_source.swf file.

My friend this is 100% what I've been looking for for some time. Amazing job! Could you get one with the beep that sounds?

Again, pretty cool and great job. I thought the sound was more of a chirp. I'm talking of the one from the Iphone app. You may want to change it to "Current time status" or something instead of "Time remaining" since its a clock. Maybe change it from Racing to Normal...Just saying..Again, great job.

Well, I did copy the sound effect directly from EoE
And yeah, I'll probably change the texts

Just would like to mention that everyone in my office (who most likely have never even heard of Eva) think it's the coolest screen saver ever. Good work!

Hmmm... I wonder how I might use it to report the power being used from my Laptop's battery....

How does one make/edit screensavers? I may do this when I find time.

That would be incredibly cool.

Don't forget to share once you figure out how to do it.

That could take *some* time. I need to find a decent free program to edit screensavers... figure out how to edit the original, and then figure out where in the hell the battery stuff is stored.

Working on that too, but the reported battery life just jumps all over the place so the minutes go up and down all the time

Any chance this can be made into a flash (.swf) clock for use as a cell phone background?

I am working on one now but I cannot get the text to look right and yours is so perfect.

Would be really neat
