I would say that the streets would be littered with cars and piles of clothes.

The computers that ran the technical side of civilization would keep things going for as long as they could before they needed maintanance. Fyutsuki discussed something about the government being run by 3 supercomputers similar to the MAGI, so it's likely a lot of society is run by machines. With everybody gone, it's only a matter of time before everything fails.

The sky is bright red at noon and a deep purple at midnight (Red Earth), and you can see the ring of blood crystals orbiting earth.

Rei's giant corpse is rotting over the horizon. Hopefully you're far enough away.

The climate change that created this new enviroment may have lots of interesting side effects.

THEORIES!!!

The entire planet is now fertile. A monkey could grow crops anywhere. Vegetables grow twice as large!

The earth has been spun back on it's axis. Japan has seasons again.

The Post 3I world is filled with fan-fics!! None of which are terribly satisfying. The pervading feeling is one of anticipation of the sequels, none of which are forthcoming.

Ha! I agree.

As far as post 3I, I see people building an even better city (in Japan), Tokyo-4. I also see Asuka and Shinji having a wonderful life now that they've been given a second chance. Image

Yes, I am an A/S shipper. Image

No kidding. XD I think it would be better if they had only one, or none at all. Image

I wish. I found it browsing for Evangelion info a long time ago. This is how I would have drawn it if I could. The (unknown) artist apparently shares the same vision as me. Image

Are there any post-apocalyptic Asuka x Shinji image threads on Anime Nation? I suddenly feel in the mood to sketch up a storm...

Hmmm, none that I know of. Just toss it in the Go Hikari! thread. I think I need to start sketching again.

Arguably, it doesn't. Notice how the harpies all petrified when Yui transformed the Spear and made it do a cool trick? Any idea what the point of that might be? If they are no longer flesh and blood, they are off-limits to anybody wanting to stir up trouble in the future the same way Seele did. There doesn't seem to be much point to this if GNR does not become rock-solid as well, being as her body is a goldmine of angel-flesh. Even Yui petrifies herself until she is safely away from Earth (and her armor is purple once more).

I forget who originally suggested the GNR-petrification bit... Was that you, Shin-seiki?

But Rei continued to rot even after she hit the ground. Remember the half of her skull sliding off into the sea?

Reichu wrote:Asuka's sudden appearance? The first shot we see of the beach, she is there. Nothing to suggest "sudden".

Well, I see it as sudden (or at least a few hours while napping) based on Shinji's reaction of choking her.

And why would Rei control the where? I'm not sure I'm willing to buy any explanation for her appearance that doesn't take episode #01 into consideration, since they're clearly visually connected...

I don't think Rei controlled the where either. I consider her the transport.

And without other inside knowledge, I don't think anyone's going to realize that those are grave markers in the first place, let alone that Shinji made him because "people didn't come back and he gave them up as permanently dead".

I certainly had no clue it was a grave marker the first time around. Even after seeing Misato's cross on one it didn't dawn on me until after reading forum discussions.

Why does Asuka's soul need a 'transport' in the first place? I think the only time Rei ever 'transported' them was when she sucked them all into the Black Moon, and that's not quite the same thing... is it?

Wow!! I didnt really even think those were grave markers. Looked way to big to be anything to me just thought those were pieces of metal left from the Geo Front. Also if thats an inside joke then its a damn good one for how hidden and unobvious it is.
