Films I remember from childhood, the ones that really stick in the memory, are from when I was quite small -- Dr Who and the Daleks; Song of the South; Mary Poppins; The Sword in the Stone; The Three Lives of Thomasina.
Unlike the titles I listed in the childhood TV thread, there's a chance some of you younger folk might have seen one or two of these.

Nice use of quotes, maro.
@Tines: I've got enough gray hairs to have seen Song of the South in the theaters back when I was a wee thing. Oh, and Lady and the Tramp, which was pure gold. I still think of it when I eat spaghetti.
Not sure if Dr. Who and the Daleks ever made it to this side of the pond. Oh, and I've got one for you: Pufnstuf, the very first movie that I ever saw. Trippy as hell, what with all the inanimate objects coming to life and the dragon who looked like a Big Mac. Even though it was decades ago, I still remember parts of that movie vividly, and I'm sure the whole movie is buried somewhere in my subconscious.
Speaking of Thomasina, there was also a Disney movie about a cat from outer space. No cute English accents in that one, though. It was like Return to Witch Mountain except with a cat instead of kids. Part of the "Disney Dark Ages", I believe.
