Anyone have plans to see the new movie of the Terminator series this May? They just made a new trailer!

Sorry if someone already did this topic before.

I want to check it out.
Based on the trailer it looks interesting.

But I think I read somewhere that the director or writer is making it seem like Terminator 3 never happened.

I hear T3 is still part of the timeline while the TV show takes place in it own universe.

I'm not sure I like the idea of a Terminator movie without Arnold in it.

Making it through the entire movie without a "GET TO THE CHOPPA!" joke popping into my head just doesn't seem right.

Reese said it first.

Also, Arnold can't play the same model of cybernetic organism forever. Unlike T-800, Arnold ages.

The movie's using an Arnold double from what I've read. He's supposed to be the prototype for the T101/800. Apparently the guy playing playing the terminator has also played The Gubbernator in a biopic as well.

Nobody actually expected him to come back. Even Hollywood would have a hard time making a 60 year old Arnold look badass enough to play the Terminator, which is why the franchise should have died after the third movie.

Not to mention he's sorta busy at the moment...

Well, I suppose it could be argued that each T-800 has some uniqueness of appearance, since it is a semi-biological entity.

LOL, Fuck the TX.

Now the T-1000...THERE WAS A FINE MACHINE. And at 50, Robert Patrick isn't even that old yet. It would be kind of cool if he at least made a cameo in the movie.

I waited until the third film was out on DVD until I saw it

it wasn't bad but there is no comparing T3 to the first two films

and yeah, the T-X was rather lame, the biggest weakness of the film IMO, it seems liked they were trying to force the idea of a female-styled cyborg while trying to advance the storyline with more or less the same plotlines from T2, not groundbreaking or even really great on its own unfortunately

I won't give my hopes up with T4 like I kind of did with T3, I would have probably like T3 much more if I did not have the previous films in mind

if that director McG can get back things on track, more power to 'em

T3 was a good movie and it was a let down compare to the other two movies. It did had some lame battle scenes and crappy ending but I like it since it was Arnold Schwarzenegger last good movie that he has been in the past five years since he has been a lot of crappy movies after Eraser (I did like End of Days though).

The ending was the best part of T3. Did you actually want it to be all happy and rosy at the end?

No. in all honesty I like an ending like that. Its probably the reason EoE works so well on me. "Hey all lets save the world but fuck it up at the last minute"

I felt that T3 was alright.

More or less a 3 or 4 out of 5.

To me Terminator 2 was the best.
