Anyone going to see Watchmen in another few weeks from now. I love the graphic novel and I can't wait to see this for sure, I read most of the reviews and they have been great.

I plan on seeing it. It's the only movie that's interested me recently.

If you have the dough, I'd recommend the huge "making-of" tome I saw in Borders the other day. I didn't thumb through it while I was there, but it looks immensely insightful.

I hope to get into the Watchmen books and I hope to see the movie when I have the chance. I am not all that familar with Moore's work (or was it some other author) but I am going to try and see the novels when I can.

^ It's just one graphic novel, not more than one. Go to your local bookstore and go the the comic section or 'coming to theaters' section and pick it up.

It was originally a 12 comic mini-series. But getting a hold of all 12 just to read it is probably not worth it.

Oh I'll be seeing it. The graphic novel is art!

But after seeing some clips of the movie my passion has diluted a bit. Despite all his naysaying to the contrary Zack Snyder looks like he overdid it on the "Cool Slow Motion Kick oh my god it's fast again!" action scenes. Plus removed from the wicked perfect trailers some of the performances seem a bit....horrible. All the reasons why I hate 300 with a passion are boiling back to the surface.

Jackie Earle Haley though will become a legend as Rorschach and for his vital one scene role in Scorsese's "Shutter Island"

I have to admit, the trailer does look fantastic. Smashing pumpkins works well.

I've been pondering checking out the original graphic novel, but western comics never really interested me.
Is it really that good?

I read it in my mid-late teens at a local library. It is good. Mind that this was around 1990, it's not many comics that get translated to danish so (relatively) soon after the original release.

The movie has a 86% on RT which is a good sign. The graphic novel is amazing and one the best character development used in a comic book my opinion.

I will be watching the hell out of this. Easily my most anticipated of the year.

I hope I don't burst your bubble too badly by mentioning that the Smashing Pumpkins song used in the trailer comes from (*shock!* *gasp!*) Batman and Robin. Ah well, if there's one thing that movie is good for, it's the song.

The Smashing Pumpkins song was the only good thing about Batman & Robin. The song won't be in the soundtrack though which sucks since I like the song in the trailer.

I'll only watch it if I can see it in the original superior Japanese with subtitles.
God, Apparently you all have been discussing Q since November. Catching up on the discussion is harrowing.
