When I walked into the thread, I was under the impression that the topic was "Gainax Topless collection" and that the discussion was about all the naked Gainax girl merchandise we had.

For any of you collecting these, here's the special Valentine's version of 368. If you care about it.

Well, Drinian stopped updating these on #370. Gainax released #386 today, and inbetween I'm missing quite a couple (there were a set that came daily, like for 2 weeks, I just have a couple of them for ex.). Does anyone still collect these Toppages?

I am still collecting toppages but I haven't been able to update the public collection lately. In the meantime, can anyone identify the artist behind this week's Eva-related toppage? It looks very familiar.

It says it's this guy: http://www.ht.sakura.ne.jp/~docile/

So it's "Sukune Inugami"? Does a manga called "Renai Distortion" apparently.

Update 2010-09-20: Thanks to the exacting research of Hyper Shinchan, I have filled in most of the holes in my collection, and acquired a few alternate images (check out 215_flcl). There's quite a bit of new stuff in the glm_ series and SF100 images, especially.

Thank you for the update Drinian, I didn't even notice which pictures were still missing, I've found all the missing ones that you've listed, as soon as I've a little of free time I'm going to check my files against the chronology of the Gainax website to find missing files.

http://digilander.libero.it/HyperShinchan/gtp/415_hanamaru.jpg

http://digilander.libero.it/HyperShinchan/gtp/427sf100_08.flv
http://digilander.libero.it/HyperShinchan/gtp/430_eva.jpg

There's one thing that I'd like that everyone is aware of:
these pictures come from a Picasa gallery and for some reason the files have been tempered by Picasa; I've checked pics that come from the same gallery with ones that have not been tempered (that I've obtained from Drinian's gallery) and it turned out that the only thing that has been modified is the header of the jpeg file, which has the "Picasa 3.0" exif info and the title of the image added. I've used an HEX editor to remove the added bytes and the files from that gallery matched perfectly the original ones (md5 check). Since the header is identical for the various pics I've simply stripped those bytes from the missing pictures and uploaded them, theoretically they SHOULD match the original ones (yet it could be worth to remember that this pictures can be considered "provisional versions" that are only SUPPOSED to match the originals).

EDIT: I didn't notice it before but that flash wasn't a flash animation, but a player for an flv file, if you place them in the same folder the swf file will load the video (I putted both of them for completeness).
The files come from http://www.gainax.co.jp/gallery/0427.html and I don't know if there were more videos or higher resolution pics, the pictures below feature additional stuffed toys with progressive numbers, so we're still missing this 427 toppage in its alternate versions (I'm not even sure if those two videos have been archived by Gainax without being somehow processed).
So let’s make a wish.

Updated my directory with the new images and flvs.

It's worth noting that I don't even have Flash installed on my computer, so thanks for looking out for all this extra stuff.

So, this looks like a useful tool for anyone trying to catch every toppage image (even the ones not announced by rss).

http://page2rss.com/

Basically, it makes any change in the page into a new RSS entry. Seems to work pretty well:

first I blinked in confusion then I laughed. Some of those guest works are pretty amusing. Mecha genre parody, I'm assuming...
