Saw this and thought of Eva.

I guess Shinji is Canadian, Asuka is American and Rei is Australian.

It's fun, because Asuka is actually American.

I used to think it was crap because of the main character, but the game was deceiving, its gameplay was awesome.

Aye. At first I thought "That much fanservice? Nah, man" but then I played it and loved it. It's like Devil May Cry (I assume, I have never played DMC) only on steroids.

Also, the Eva references are pretty cool. Aside from the soundtrack, there's the fact you're killing "Angels" that look like monsters, and is it just me, or does Bayonetta herself look a lot like Mari Illustrious Makinami?

My brother's HTC Dream cell phone.

He bought it in early 2010 and never got enough money together to buy a new one once it became obsolete. So by the time 2013 rolled around the phone had all kinds of problems, the most annoying being that its battery life was basically equivalent to an Eva unit without an S^2 engine. So he'd keep the piece of junk plugged in at all times and when he'd have to unplug it I'd always see in my mind the umbilical cable falling, the countdown timer lighting up, and Maya's worried face.

Then he finally got some money together and bought an iphone :ehh:

I was wrong, there is something now that reminds me of Eva every time I see it, especially Eva Unit 13:

Any and all trailers for the upcoming movie Pacific Rim.

Good GOD that looks to be a colossal tower of awesome.

Gigantic Mechas with a dual pilot system and completely goofy Anime-style names like Gypsy Danger battling kaiju as tall as the CN tower, who are actually CALLED 'kaiju'.

And by Guillarmo Del Toro, one of my favourite directors of all time.

Let's just say I am seriously stoked to see this. :D

This movie really should have been Evangelion: Live action. I wholeheartedly agree with you that this is going to give me Eva vibes every time that I see it.

How does that game remind you of Evangelion? I'm honestly curious.

@Nuke kun Eva is a story that repeats........mistakes.
The game allows you to reset when you've made a mistake. That's my guess anyway.

With it's utter pointlessness of efforts. Also useless protagonist unfitted for his world. Additionaly the whole
"Go die"
"Ok."
feels like Rei to some extent.

If you play the whole thing it makes sense, yeah.

All that effort for nothing at all... almost needs a Linkin Park soundtrack.

Am I the only person who sees the Pacific Rim trailers and thinks, wow, this shit looks like an epic fail of Michael Bay x Transformers proportions? I seriously don't get why everyone is so excited. The dialogue in the trailer makes me cringe, and it is REALLY hard to make dialogue sound bad coming out of the mouth of Stringer fuckin' Bell.

Anyhoo, give me a real Eva movie any day of the week. I like Del Toro quite a bit, and I'm hoping those trailers were just cut dumb to appeal to the LCD. But the trailers just make me say "meh."

Youre not the only one. I get the same feeling about it and I'm not exactly hyped about the movie.

On my way to go back home from works I go pass by the Saint-lazare train station in Paris, and just in front of a little restaurant in the shopping area of the train station, the city put a piano for public use... a lustered black Yamaha piano! It even had the golden "YAMAHA" letters in the front!

So of course, every time I pass and someone is playing(which is every afternoon, always someone different since it's for public use) I can't stop myself from thinking of Q!
To make it even more hilarious, the first time I passed by it, there was two guys playing a duet!

Well of course that's not one of those huge Yahama CF III grand piano, but a "simple" upright piano, but it still make me smile everytime I pass nearby, besides the level of the ones playing is rather good, going from novices that can handles some simple melodies to guys who could put Kaworu to shame!

On my way home from school I always pass by a bar called the Rits. It's odd that it reminds of my least favorite character but still it's a nice way to keep Eva in mind. And I guess it also reminds me of Misato for obvious reasons.
