"Proof that I'm scarred for life by Eva!" moments
I work grocery retail and a couple days ago, I was bagging... and an order with several containers of orange Tang came down the conveyor belt. Well, I managed to keep my game face on, but danged if I wasn't stealing glances around me, looking for any creepy-looking blue-haired girls with pale skin and red eyes.
I doubt I'm the only one who's had moments like this? :: laughs::

cicadas.
Whenever I watch other anime, there's often the same train sound.

God, Apparently you all have been discussing Q since November. Catching up on the discussion is harrowing.

Ooops, if I'd seen that thread sooner (or thought to make a search for it), I'd have posted there.

-On EMF, as a thread becomes longer, the likelihood that fem-Kaworu will be mentioned increases exponentially.
-the only English language novel actually being developed in parallel to its Japanese version involving a pan-human Soviet in a galactic struggle to survive and to export the communist utopia/revolution to all the down trodden alien class and race- one of the premise being that Khrushchev remains and has abandoned Lysenko stupidity

Before I ever saw Evangelion, I saw this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7wtvm4hrIg Ever since then, It's a Sin reminds me of Evangelion. In fact, some other Pet Shop Boys also remind me of Evangelion by association.
Not much else reminds me of Evangelion. The cicadas in Evangelion actually remind me of Animal Crossing, because I played AC before I saw Evangelion. Heh... Anyhoo...
Wuv, Yer Mom

Anything and everything involving the "Hedgehog's Dilemma" ('we want to get close to others, but getting close to others means getting hurt, and so on and so forth'). Every time this comes up in real life, it reminds me of Eva. It was there all along, of course, but Eva rather colorfully relates this omnipresent aspect of human experience not only to a parable about spiny rodents I hadn't previously heard about, but ties it into weird-ass stuff about forcefields that keep you from disintegrating into primordial ooze or give you god-like telekinetic powers. It's hard to ever look at interpersonal relations the same again, at least if you're someone like me and always had to put deliberate effort into understanding them in the first place.
So, yeah. Just about every time I hear people talk about relationships and how you need to take the bad with the good, and yadda yadda, I start getting these strange images of huddling hedgehogs and A.T. Fields in my head. And likewise whenever I'm wrestling with my own Hh'sD.

Damn it, now I can't play Sonic 2 without thinking about Evangelion. Great job, now I'm afraid of going into the special stages for fear that I'll wind up in an Angel instead.

The Eva franchise reminds you of itself? Doesn't that, you know, go without saying?
