Yes, if you're starting off on slot 6, then you'll be using zzzsj206.txt for your first edit.

Presumably as you go through the game, you'll be saving in other spots as well (and not just updating everything on slot 6 over and over), so just keep track of the slots to know which saved data file you'll want to be editing. (If you do however, save the entire game on slot 6 throughout, then yes, you'll always be editing zzzsj206.txt)

For my first game I will try for the Misato Relationship, Actor/Blademan ending.

Good luck! Blademan (which kept getting translated as Braidman) was one of my favorite job endings. And even if you don't end up editing anything, the decoder is a good way of keeping track of your Intimacy score with Misato. :leekspin:

Ive erased all of my previous save data and will start of on slot 1. I probably ought to save before every Angel battle so I can alter my stats enough to beat it without losing any stores. I'll also try to save before any important events, i.e.: valentines day, etc.; have you managed to find out the values for the other paths yet?

EDIT: I also have to figure out how to use the darn thing :scanners_head:

Well, I tried it and it worked like a charm, I picked the my save right before the new years party. After i changed my stats i did notice that certian things didnt seem to increase right a certian points, but o well. Also, after i edited my stats it seems Shinji got a lot more horny, lol. He's been "peeping" on Asuka in the shower pretty much every week untill i got the AU school start.

Well, at least for mine anyway, you can always copy the path to where you need to go and then paste it into command prompt, that way the jp characters will be put in without you needing to type it in or without needing to change it.

just copy the path, then right click on the lil tab down at the bottom of cmd prompt then go to edit then paste. That should get you to the exec area.

Great Genius Shinji-Sama - Are you trying this on Vista or Windows 7? If so, your computer's UAC (User Account Control) may be denying you permission. Turning that off might work. But if you can get copy and pasting to work, that's probably the easiest way.

And even if you end up losing stores in the battles, I figured out the store data for closing/opening/restoring a few posts above, so you can just pop in and re-open them that way. But I haven't figured out the stat that changes the paths yet as I'm a bit burned out on the game and still have yet to finish the comedy/pathos path. It's probably going to be a lot more difficult to ID as it's probably one data point doing this, instead of a bunch of data points together like with the Intimacy scores & store conditions.

cojax8 - Any idea what Shinji's morality stat was set to when this started? Usually he starts peeping when his morality gets too low. I've been trying to get him to spy on Misato for the CG, but I've only got him being a peeping tom to Asuka so far. :ninja:

He's only peeped on Misato once, and that was when I was in the AU school universe. But she seems to be teasing him a lot (like every week) since i changed the stats around, but my morality is at 550 and his sexuality is at 600.

Oh, and when I checked my album I somehow have a lot of pics with Shinji and Kaworu even though I got no clue how I got em, as Kaworu's stuff is at 0. Weird

Hmm... Perhaps it's a ratio that triggers the peeping and not just low morality then. Like it's the sync to damage percent ratio that triggers Eva 1 going berserk. :chinscratch:

Have you played the Kaworu Bonus Round yet? That's where most of his CGs come from. Otherwise, maybe the CGs got opened by some of the editing as well.

Yep, that's right. Everything will be going into the exec folder. The text file you'll be editing (xxxsj2[random-number].txt or whatever you call it) will also be found in that same folder.

You mean the text file you're creating is in Japanese? The original saved data text file is in Japanese if you click on it, but the decode program should be creating a new text file that translates it into English & numbers. Or are you getting a Japanese error message in the command prompt itself?

That usually happens when the wrong command is given. Are you running the command prompt from Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> Command Prompt? If you're clicking on decode.exe and trying to run the command prompt directly from there it'll give you those type of errors.

That means you're in the wrong folder/directory right now. When you run the command prompt, what does the cursor say? Is it...

C:\>

or something else?
