Pop your disc in, go to episode 3, when Shinji is going into battle with Shamshel. Check and see if he says "Why am I piloting this thing again, even though my father's not here? Even though I was beaten". If he doesn't you're disc is missing dialogue, and you can request a replacement from them via their website.

I have one. I'm not a dub fan, but I still don't like the idea of having a defective disc.

Wow, I wasn't even aware of the possibility that that could be a defect. I just wrote it off as ADV doing their 'thang.

So that'll be three Platinums I've returned.

Although it's not that big a deal, I like to have things right if I'm going to pay for them.

What a streak of bad luck :shock:

The only defective one I have is A BGC 2040 one , the only thing wrong with it is one of the sub menu's name , but nothing major.

mine's defective too. I just sent an email out. Man this sucks I never expected such a careless and obvious mistake to pass by them. I mean, don't they check these things out before they send em to the shelves? I guess they they were in a hurry to get those checks rolling in.

Shortly after the line mentioned, there's two "Yes" lines that are missing, and I wouldn't be surprised if there's more missing, on different Eps/DVDs. Time will tell.

damn, mine is defective as well. even when they take months to release it out here in new zealand they still don't fix their mistakes.

I have got info , that is is not defective and it is part of the edit.

Score one for ADV's customer service, however you can probably attribute it to the fact that its the holidays. I would expect them to be a bit busier than usual.
