Here's some crappy midi samples of some of my "work". None of it finished, most just pieces of ideas. Evening Rain is about the only bit I've actually put some work into - it's gone through about 100 permutations and this isn't even close to the final cut (I still don't like the strings). Very sorry for the terrible quality... I'm sure it would sound marginally better if played with real instruments.

I've seen so many changeful years, / to Earth I am a stranger grown: / I wander in the ways of men, / alike unknowing and unknown: / Unheard, unpitied, unrelieved, / I bear alone my load of care; / For silent, low, on beds of dust, / Lie all that would my sorrows share. - Robert Burns' Lament for James

Jeez, I haven't played a real instrument since I started college. I did play the trombone in grade school for 6 years and was in the top band of five for my junior and senior year. Now the only instrument I'm good at is the plastic guitar. In face, I'm so good at it, I'm a hero.
Yeah, I know, shitty pun.

I've been in a choir since as long as I can remember - I'm the only person I know of my age who can still sing treble without being a castratis. Yeah, maybe that's not something to brag about.(embarrassment)
I'm also a long-running flautist (sry, couldn't figure out how to rotate):

My peers are always flabbergasted. "BUT THAT'S A GRL'S INTRUMENT LOL"

piano!
I desired to play the piano when I was three (I hated the xylophone in preschool), but nobody wanted to teach me, ("I won't teach a baby!") and so i started when I was four.
Heh.
And then I loved it. I loved playing the notes, acting stupidly dramatic (Victor Borge had a stranglehold on my brain), and learning new and ascendingly advanced pieces.
I played and played and then I realized that my parents were making me play for them, and my interested presently vanished. I don't know why I didn't like the idea that I played for them, but it pushed me to completely halt everything at age 11.
Years later I return, three summers ago, and I force my parents to realize that I will practice for myself. Maturity willing, I come to you now confidant that I am a piano player.
Presently I will load a recording of Clair de Lune onto the other music thread for your entertainment.

Plastic guitar. Well, okay, the only real instrument I've ever gotten somewhat good at was the trombone. Tromboners unite!

i play the Great Highland Bagpipe.
I've been playing for almost a couple years now, and just recently joined a local pipe band. ever since I joined I've learned tons; plus we do a shitload of festivals, which means I get to check out other out-of-state bands and stuff. I play a little smallpipe here and there, and have been itching to try some Uilleann Pipes, but my main forte is the Great Highland.
I used to play Electric Bass. It was alright, but I got tired of it. I still play occasionally--mostly jazz and funk.
I've tried my at a little electronica, too. mostly hardcore, hardstyle, and hardtrance.

Play a lot of guitar, learning Foul Body Autopsy right now.
After that was thinking one of Augustus Barrio Mangore's easier pieces, Vals Op3 No.3.
Closing in on a year and a half now.

Geez, you make fun of her for being a 'tromboner'? Only thing I could think of that would make a female tromboner angry enough to say that.

I've moved onto something more out of my character now; well, with musical instruments anyway. I'm learning drums and - yeah, no-one can imagine me playing drums at school, except for one or two.... - and I took up some drumming lessons. Honestly, it's halfway through the year and they're still practising how to play snare drums.... dull....boring....-_-

IR: Nah she hated my guts before I discovered that she loved to play the trombone. she quit orchestra; i found some leftover sheets on her living room. as far as i remember i never made fun of her playing a trombone. If you would like to know the entire exhaustive story of hate, PM me, and I will be glad to do so but I don't think you want to at all.
