Since we bumped the topic, I'll just clarify that I play the drums on a variety of genres, based on my mood when playing, which most often results in Prog Metal, Punk Rock, Jazz, Funk, Ska, etc, and a fusion of all of these. I've been playing for about three years.

Clarinet, since fifth grade! Used to play for those district/all-state bands up till freshman year, when the studies started to pile up :dejected:

Still have it somewhere though.....

I guess these would go here, but I'm not a hundred-percent on that. Ah well, I suppose the mods will put in the proper place if this isn't it...

I went digging through some old CD-R's I had laying around and found some rather...crappy recordings back from about a week or two after first getting my guitar (September 2006). I moved the files from that disc and converted 'em over to MP3 and...well, just hear for yourself. A small warning, though: I sucked at this time, so your ears may not like me much.

Also, while I'm here, have some vocal samples that were made recently (some are singing, some are talking). Again, a warning: I sing like an amputee.

Are you serious bro?!

Doesn't sound that bad though. Get an amp or a modeler and redo them. I like hearing peoples' music stuff.

Didn't have one then. Problem is, the mic crapped out on me after the vox recordings....so a redo will have to wait until I can pick up another one. Meh, it was a cheap PoS anyway...

Like I said, it was back from when I was green as hell. Still never have gotten the hang of finger-picking, though. Hell, a friend of mine gives me shit for playing bass that way.

Well, post some more when you get more recording stuff. I'd like to hear how much you've improved.

Also, to kick start this thread again, here's some clips of me fucking around with different things. That's all I can find at the moment till I can record some more stuff. Sorry if it's not that good.

KST intro (Pedaled wrong, sounds too dissonant in certain spots)

Playing around with a choir sample. No idea why the piano is mixed so badly here.

Prelude in C Major, BWV 846 by JS Bach on harpsichord.

Playing around in C minor. Probably some bad spots but it's just trying to find interesting things that work.

I'll record some better stuff on guitar and piano later, but hopefully these encourage some others to post their musical things.

Recently starting to (re)learn some of the Paganini Caprices. Used the mic that comes with a headset that I use for skype meetings and recorded it on my laptop. Tried to get as much of the hiss out of it as possible.

I can play piano, classical and acoustic guitar, and I was part of a choir for a year (I was in the bass section). I've been playing piano since I was around four or five and I've been playing guitar for two years.

I have done some covers of various songs, as well. I really want to do a cover of KST, and I might do a piano/vocal cover (or just a plain vocal cover) one day, although the probability of it happening is low at the moment.

Started playing the cello when I was 8 years old, and the saxophone a year later. Was always better at the cello, auditioned for the All-State Orchestra twice in high school. Haven't picked it up very often since the end of high-school, but the muscle memory's still there. I bet I could still belt out a decent sounding Squire Tarantella right now. I used to annoy the hell out of people by playing snippets of that during orchestra practice.

Piano for eight years. Guitar for four.

Got started on learning a lot of incredible pieces but never finished most of them, mainly because writing original shit always distracts me when I'm practicing.
I'm writing music or studying law. It's all very unclear at this point.

Guitar for four years and drums for a few before that (That is until I invested all my time into guitar)

I'm not amazing but, I'd say I'm at least decent. Still have issues with soloing at times but, do pretty well otherwise. I just haven't had the time to devote to practicing like I should be for about the past year or so.

Another recording on my laptop just now:

Lennox Berkeley's Sonatina, 1st movement.

This is the first movement of a 3 part piece, the 3rd movement of which I made a recording back in 2006.

This is the only thing I have recorded that isn't incomplete or random improv/brainstorming. Guitar is my strong suit but I have some keyboard stuff from a few years ago.

Bach's Prelude in C Major from WTC I, BWV 846, played on harpsichord.

It's a simple prelude, but I'm proud of the way I played it. It was one of the first classical pieces I tackled.

EDIT: ...aaaand I just realized I've already posted this one. Oh well. I'll record some new stuff soon maybe.
