there's tons of animators throughout Eva. some fans are good enough that they can pick out individual animator's styles, but this is easier is a series like FLCL where artists were free to experiment with radical styles. The style of Eva is pretty consistent throughout...

I actually don't think Sadamoto did any key animation for Eva, did he?

i don't know about the volcano but the blackout episode surely was a little weird..all of protagonists faces had something different on them...but i don't know if Sadamoto did it..

"Data of Evangelion" has the credits for every episode. (I got mantra's scans if anyone wants 'em...) Unfortunately, it IS all in Japanese... :P
