Has it already been mentioned that Hei Ba the panda spirit in Avatar The Last Airbender was inspired by the Mass Evas?
I’ll escape now from this world, from the world of Jean Valjean, Jean Valjean is nothing now! Another story must begin!

I'm currently on my Linux machine, and I'm still pretty clueless about how to use it. I'll see what I can do.

EDIT: hell, I'll do better than a screenshot and just let you watch the whole damn episode: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2mq8jd

And no, I'm not referring to the crab Decepticon who gets taken out in the first four minutes.

EDIT 2: if you don't want to watch the episode... Image

While maybe not a reference/homage, this scene from the new Harlock manga immediately reminded me of the Arael sequence in Ep.22

Is Lilith's mask partly inspired by Dorok headdresses, perhaps?

The entire start of the first episode of that AoT junior high show is a shot for shot reference to the alternate reality from episode 26

Trigger sure love its Eva references, Ep 3 of Hackadolls is one big parody of episode 13.
Is the 3.0 spoiler policy gone?.... Cool, then I'm nominating myself as EvaGeeks 1# Sakura Suzuhara fan/nerd.

I mean, predictability is the central attraction and the narrative hook that we've all come to expect from the Evangelion franchise. How come Anno can't realize this? Twice? - FreakyFilmFan4ever

Not just the Spear, but Ayanami too? And lots of other familiar anime faces!

I think this is from a few weeks back, probably around Halloween. Saw it on Sailormoon Reddit.

Now that the season is over, it's listed as S 5, Ep 15. Man, home video releases of these kinds of shows confuse me sometimes.

*backtracks to watch episode*

Really, all I can really think of are those conspiracy theorists who think old cartoons predicted 9/11.
