One reason why

I'd like to try a little experiment. I doubt it will turn out too well, but [fontcolor=blue] one can always be hopeful. [/fontcolor] Here it goes:
Using one sentence, state one, and ONLY one reason why you like Evangelion. I am sure nearly all of you have more than just one reason (myself included) so try and state the biggest reason why you love this show. As for me, I love Evangelion because:

Rei Ayanami turns the sadness in my heart into love, and into hope.

It shows that the most pathetic people can make heroes of themselves.

Evangelion demonstrates that the complexity of the human mind is a beautiful thing that should be thought of as a blessing rather than a curse.

Eva wasn't afraid to ask the deep questions, even at the cost of the plot :)

I like Eva because of its depth, even if it really just is incohesive at times.

It's the only series, anime or TV, that ever had me genuinely thinking extremely hard about what topics it 'brought up' (for lack of better words at the moment) over the series.

Because through the character of an ordinary boy (one to which we can all relate) it captures the depths of personal despair and the joy of hope and love...

It made me consider again my view of sight to some things and it's amazing that everyday you discover something new about it..

Because of the chill that will inevitably run down your spine while watching End of Evangelion.
The purpose of writing is to inflate weak ideas, obscure poor reasoning, and inhibit clarity. With a little practice, writing can be an intimidating and impenetrable fog!

Evangelion examines the depth of the human consciousness/unconsciousness, giving you a look at how humans preceive their world.

Evangelion has a lot of paraphernalia, and therefore teases itself into an actual mindset stretching beyond the horizon of a solid narrative into something almost resembling a country or religion.

Um... are you sure the word paraphernelia is the best choice there Hexon? (If that is not a misspelling, just ignore me.)

I wanted to say marchandise, but I also feel the need to incorporate fanfiction into Eva the way I've experienced it, as well as the tendency to read nvolvement into works that have nothing to do with Eva (music and such). Paraphernalia seemed like the best way to do it. (My vocabulary is not that extensive.)

No matter how old it gets, we'll still come back to Eva with more questions than answers!
