I suppose thats true enough. I mostly have purchase experience with Figma. Those are more often than not gone after it's sale period. But I personally haven't been able to find EvaEvo Unit 00. (the only one Im missing aside from 03 and 04 which I dont really care to own.) It's always out of stock.
And It is true the sculpt is probably as good as itll get, but I still bet they'll re-release for extra gimmicks.

Ya Figmas,Figuarts and RDs tend to be "Its now or never!" kinda deal. Kaiyodo seems to over produce the revoltech stuff save a few odds and ends.
Internet elitists suck,ya you know who you are.

If it's any help, I've been able to find almost every Figma on Amazon. They often cost a fair bit, but it's better than not getting them at all...

I love how they hid Asuka's eyepatch with her hair!
How much do we bet that under the hair are a normal eye from another mould?

EDIT : woops, forget what I said, she indeed does have the eyepatch. Still it's funny how she's doing a pose and makes a face completely out of character compared to her personality in 3.0!

A couple of questions. Is the plug suit removable from the plugsuit figures?

If not, are the heads easy to pop off and put on different bodies?

That is the girliest looking non-crossdressing Shinji I've ever seen.

Also, he's ADORABLE.

Judging by the uncut arms that's either a statue or a model kit.

The head is a tad big. Evangelions have tiny heads though, so it could be the result of the sculptor trying to make it more natural and as a result inadvertently getting it wrong.

Otherwise it's pretty cool though.

Looks like some folks are ecstatic that we get a Shinji figure! I'm not surprised, Asuka and Rei get a lot more attention (those glory hogs/attention whores, those!) then he does and he's always been somewhat of a underdog and I don't recall there being a lot of figures of Shinji or any merchandise compared to the other girls.

This is great. The best Eva girl is finally getting the recognition he deserves.

No. There are no zips or similar to take it off and plugsuit is fully sealed with stiching and attached to the body in several places (around the neck). At least with the Asuka 2.0 collection version.

I think you can remove the heads given they have a point of articulation there but I'm not willing to actually try it on an $150+ collectible sorry.

No for the plugsuit, but you can remove the head quiet easy, i think it's compatible for almost any medicom's body, especially the new body.
i often swap Asuka's head with RAH GANTZ reika's, but never tried for the old version eva RAH, coz it's harder to remove.

plus, azone 1/6 doll's costumes generally fits.
Yea...

Well other than the Medicom RAH Shinjis (1/6 scale) which are pretty expensive and possibly some older resin garage kits which are no longer available? the largest Shinji figures readily available at present would be about 1/10 to 1/12 scale (those bandai portrait ones). So getting one at 1/7 scale is neat if you want one at a decent size to display. Especially as there are about 1 million reis and asukas at 1/7 scale out there.

Yeah it's a real nice box, the set as a whole is nicely presented and in my opinion the metalic re-paint of Eva 01 looks better than the standard one. I think the finish, as with all the later Evo revoltechs, seems to be a little more consistent.

Hmm, no wonder why the postage was a little more expensive than usual.

-o-;

Still, very cool looking package and can't wait until mine arrives. Will probably post some pics of it then too.

Also, another week gone by and still no word on a pre-order for the Mark.09 Revo.
Why.
