I discovered how to isolate the voices in the soundtrack by accident while s-CRY-ing around in VLC Media Player. Set the audio track to English and the audio device to mono. Then, all you'll hear is voices without sound effects. It's kind of interesting to hear what all the grunting and such is like during the fighting without the gunshots and smashing noises to go with it.

I failed to replicate this. Is there anything that might account for this? My DVD is from the initial release in 2002.

Question about the Soundboard, rather one of the lines: Did Shinji (Japanese) ever say the words "I need you" in the film? What scene was that said in the dub anyway (My guess: Dub SFAiBL)??

Yes, I'm pretty sure it was either there or during Shinji's Imaginary Strangletastic Adventure in Neckland.

A very nice attempt...but it is somewhat lacking. You need to add more causal questiobs in.
I won.

Just checked online and yup, Dub-Shinji does say "I need you" in SFAiBL. It's a nice touch because of the parallels between the first scene with the final scene; but is still an example of script bastardization as Sub-Shinji doesn't say that at all.

But he was certainly thinking it loudly.

Sadly I doubt she heard the "mother" part at the end before hanging up, and I'll probably never know. =\

Download the swf file, you can open it up in a flash player.

Don't ask me what a flashplayer is, see google. I only use linux, and after installing the package "flash" I get this program called flashplayer, that allows me to run flash locally (although strictly speaking, when you go to a website with embedded flash, you're actually running it locally anyways, the only difference is it's sitting in your browser's memory instead of on your harddrive).

Or do you mean the mp3's of the prank calls? I assume your browser has some right click functionality that brings up a menu somewhere that allows you to "Save As". That should bring up a dialog box asking for the place you want to save it, unless you've already configured your browser to save all files in a certain place.

And post the soundboards while you're at it. I want to goof around with them.

I tried this on a few of my friends...didn't work. I'm the only one they know who watches Evangelion, so they knew it was me, cause of the name "Asuka" in there.

serves you right for calling friends. The best use for this is to use on a telemarketer, or when people call your house right before the next election.
God, Apparently you all have been discussing Q since November. Catching up on the discussion is harrowing.

Shinji Ikari Soundboard

There's already a thread on this, but its ancient and the link in it is dead.

http://www.evamonkey.com/wtf/%5BNAveryW%5D_shinji_ikari_soundboard.swf

And this is a prank call using it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hUeYhzaG1Y

I recommend using this on people who are 1. your friends (as opposed to strangers) and 2. unfamiliar with Evangelion. I doubt anyone will listen to me, though. Do people here even have friends?

Edit: Well, this was merged with the old thread. Ookay.

So, not only does the soundboard lack clips from Death, but it also lacks clips from the Rebuild movies. Theoretically, the amount of clips available could be doubled, if not tripled. I talked to NAveryW. He isn't interested in updating the soundboard, so.. anyone else want to? I mean, I would, except I've never made anything interactive in Flash before. I've only done short animations. I don't know the first thing about making a soundboard.
