i forget what its called, but just how strong is the Eva's Knife? their "most powerful" weapon

in ep 6 when Unit-02 dropped it it fell straight down and through the jet plane like it wasnt even there

it killed Shamshel in like 20 seconds with 1 stab, when 10 stabs from one of Sachiels ribs didnt even kill Sachiel

Progressive knife or prog-knife. Asuka's prog-knife is my favorite.

It seems to me that Eva-02's progressive knife is too fragile; I can never imagine someone would use a cutter to kill someone- the blade is so thin.

It's for stabbing. When you stab it in, you can break off the blade. It's really nasty, and I saw somebody that was stabbed with that style of knife try to fish the broken blade out. Didnt go so well for him.

Unit 02's prog knife is modeled on a common-or-garden disposable box cutter. The idea is that once the working edge of the blade becomes dull, you snap the segment off and push out a new one.

Unit-01's is a bowie knife, which I wouldent mind having. IIRC, Unit-00 never got a knife, or it was a bowie model.

That's why in English exams your discussion skills are examined.

'I see your point, but this seems to be a bit off the topic, let's get back on the right track shall we?'

In which case all of us on Eva Monkey Forums have failed our English exams miserably. I haven't seen a thread that did not go off-topic after a page or so.

Speak for yourself.
God, Apparently you all have been discussing Q since November. Catching up on the discussion is harrowing.

You guys are in heaven. Srly.

The place I usually hang out changes from "Look, USP (São paulo's university, the federal one) has been taken by the students demandin' more indepedence from the state" to "Look at this chic" to "You're so ugly" in half a page.
It's like a pandemonium! Here's everything is well organized, and locked at the right moment and all....
But still, I can't deny that I'm one of those off-topic guys.

... See? I'm doing it again!

Let me try stay in topic:

I trully thinks that Nigouki prog-knife is just the most useless one. Why tha heck do that kind of thing? To SAVE MONEY? huAUahuhauhauha
I guess it's time for a decent sig right? NAHHHHHHHH

If you all remember the prog knife is not a standard knife. it moves back and forth rapidly, which gives it the potent power it needs to destroy the angles. anyways, unit 00 the first child's unit had no prog knife in any of the comics or the animes, as for Shinji's unit 01 the prog knife is located in the left upper arm in the wingtip thing. Asuka's unit is the only other unit to have a prog knife shown, it is possible that toji's unit had a prog knife but it didn't matter because that unit became an angle. the other units seen in end of eva don't have prog knifes, but instead have replicas of the lance of longinous. which Rei throw out of this world to the moon where it stays until end of eva.

Some kind of knife. It vibrates... An ultra-sonic wave...

Whether or not Shinji was really in the know at the time, he's probably the closest. Also, the spear that Rei threw was the original that belonged to Adam (according to the NGE2 CI).

Rei doesn't get a Prog knife, but at least she gets some big guns!
