Oh yes indeed. And original voice actors, please... That's my greatest fear at the moment, a whole new cast of voice actors.
I'm dying a little bit inside even thinking of it.

I'd rather have them not include any dub and that way more space would be freed up on the DVD for better video quality.

I'm nothing for dubs either... I mean, if you can't read subtitles and still see what the heck is going on, you need to see more movies/anime/whatever with subtitles.

Like I said, I don't mind the subs. I just like hearing the dubs also.

Dubs make it easier when you're trying to concentrate on the details of the story. Well, at least for me it does.

Let's stop this pyramid madness before someone gets angry.

Great thing about DVD's is that you can watch them over and over and over and over again, just in case you miss something.

With dubs I'm always afraid that they would change the script enough for certain phrases to "miss", of course that happens also with subtitles but with subtitles you can be a bit more faithful to the original script without really having to worry too much about it sounding "right".

This is true.
Also, I can't relate to english dubs for whatever reason. It comes out as silly to me, and it feels like they lack acting capabilities.

This kind of thing is usually only true in people that know English but not Japanese. To them, Japanese sounds better because they don't know what they're saying, and it sounds mysterious and cool. They aren't aware any bad acting is going on. But believe me, there are plenty of bad Japanese performances in anime.

Well, I've been watching anime for a good while now and I can hear the differences from bad acting and good, but of course not of the same level as I do with english.
In any case, all of it sounds silly in english, no exception thus far - tried a few times, I just want to jump out of a window.

Personally, I thought the English Dubs for Evangelion were pretty good.

there were a few bad moments. the on-air versions of the last few episodes were pretty terrible. And the dubs of EoE were really bad.

Generally, stuff put out put Bandai, Pioneer/Geneon, or Funimation have dubs that are decent, or even *gasp* good. Stuff by ADV, Viz, 4Kids, CPM, Media Blasters, and Manga (with the exception of GitS:SAC) are generally crappy. But your mileage may vary.

It was an atrocity. An abomination of god. I wish I had a DeLorean so I could back in time and prevent myself from watching it dubbed.

ADV has pretty decent dubs, probably the best. That's why I enjoy hearing the dubs cause they're actually worth while and interesting. And also for my other reason that I like hearing while getting into details.

Well, I don't think EoE was that bad to call it an abomination of god... it was bad, but worth while.

His name is Keith Burgess, Google search gives me pictures of different people. This mystery will never be solved.

Keith Burgess is black.
http://www.fansview.com/person/0723pers.htm

Him having a black voice actor makes as much sense as him speaking English, so what the hell.

didn't say black man is black...

All I did was an image search for Keith Burgess and Manga. After I found the first page that mentions this man specifically as a voice actor in End of Eva, that was all I needed, so I gave up. Weak google-fu has nothing to do with it.
