I'm currently working on the documentary. I produced a 13.5 minute draft for a video production course this semester. I'm not sure when or if the draft will be made publicly available. I'm putting together a new section for the main site that will chronicle the development of the project which should be up soon. The full version will go into production starting in February. I'll be producing it as an independent senior level production credit.

There's a fundamental problem in doing a documentary on Evangelion fandom... people are all over the world. I haven't decided how I intend to break out of my geographic bubble just yet. All I know is that I want people from outside of the USA to be involved.

Well, perhaps you could look for photos of events in other places concerning evangelion fans, then get permission to use them. Other suggestion other than that, not concerning geographical terms, but giving strong reasons why you and many others are infandom of it. Also tell about the events n Japan concerning the end of the series, symbolic to how angry some fans can get and ther awful extremes they will go to.But if that is done stress out that those are only fans that are sick and heartless.

There are a number of topics I intend to address. You'll have to wait and see what the final product will be.

You could have people from far away submit videos of themselves talking, or something similar. Showing off their colections, telling stories relating to their involvment in fandom, and how it affects their life.

I'd love to talk about it's influence in my work, if you're looking for something like that.

Yeah, sure. That could be cool.
If I have no soul to touch, no heart to love, no evil to rise up above
No angels and no ghosts, no real victories to toast
If you believe that this is true then I must ask;
to what end do you proceed?

While I'd wager that my Evangelion mojo is nowhere near that of many here, I do radio part time. So if you need any narration or whatever and don't want to do it yourself....

Heh, since you're also from Stockholm we can meet up and tell how two Swedes got into NGE. ;) Ah, and Chiefen too of course.
