Anyway, so I played GoS2 (using Reichu's walkthrough. Alas, I enjoyed the crappy dating sim instead of wanting to stay clear from them! :shock: Then again, I *did* like GoS1 also, soo... *shrugs*) and ended up screen-capping some images (only 33 pics, no big whoop ;)) that I liked from it. There are several sites that you can find a crapload of more pics at, such as Aboslute Evangelion Field (why will that shut down soon?! I love that site! :cry: ) and Gainax pages.


But can anyone translate what is being said here? It's from the Game Over Sequence (Not all of it) where Shinji got his nuts removed, lol. I'm assuming he wants sex as he talks really really fast about something (something about his "living room" and a "page" (from a book)??) and Asuka says "Stop it" as well as I think something about not being in the "mood", but I dunno.

And yes, Shinji and Asuka end up sleeping together in the game, after all. (As do Rei and Shinji, once they get hitched in the Shinji/Rei ending. With the Asuka/Shinji end, she leaves for Germany via boat (How else?) and Shinji gets dragged along with her. ; Anyways, please enjoy!

This game DOES download provided you have Seeders. ;)

I don't see what the big deal of downloading these is, as they aren't licesened in America. If it was, then I'd support the cashcow and buy it.
(I wonder if the PS2 version of Raise Ayanami with Asuka is for download anywhere? But even if it is, I dunno if there's a PS2 emulator out yet...)

But you know, the various Eva games not being out in America sucks (crosses fingers for that Metani (spelling) Eva game!): All these anime-based games, be it that Fullmetal Alchemist show or DBZ have a shitload of games in America (even if they're crappy!), but when it comes to important trendsetters like Sailormoon (most popular magical girl anime; if it weren't for this show, Anime Companies wouldn't have taken anime for girls seriously, as well the fact SM and DBZ got people into anime (myself included, though it was in the 98 Toonami era ;)) to begin with) and Eva (It ain't about the Evas, it's about the pilots and their psychological problems! (What personally drew me to Eva to begin with; hell, I was more or less oblvious to the Pointless Relgious Symbolism! TM)), we get nothing! :cry:

So, can anyone translate those Game-over sequence pics I posted? (Even if Shinji isn't saying anything dirty (Stardust's overactive imagination!), I'm still curious what he's saying.)

Bwahahaha, the translation makes it funnier. In terms of Youth (Japanese Culture thing), the only thing I really know is that youth=Summer(?), after your summer, you enter into a adulthood stage (ie: was a reference to this in Excel Saga: Farewell, My Summer...), or something. Ugh, I can't think right now, so yeah...

Anyway, I felt playing this game acutally helped me a little with my Japanese, at least with praticing what I already know. For instance, I knew Shinji was saying something about Asuka's chest in that scene, I just didn't know what...

Reichu, I liked your "translation" of the nigoki cage scene in your walkthrough:

"Shinji! Mite mite! I'll pose, and you'll take a keepsake photo with Kensuke's camera! Careful, he WAS hiding it in his ass."
After posing for you once, Asuka then goes on to give you even MORE service (apparently to make up for what she didn't provide earlier). I imagine the conversation went something like this:
"Oh, Shinji... Is it hot in here or is it just you? Here, let me do something
totally uncharacteristic and strip my plugsuit -- which, bizarrely, looks like
a flimsy orange shirt when turned inside out -- right here in front of you
while looking all girly and shy! Tee hee!"
"What the **** are you doing, Asuka? I don't want to see such things! Oops, it seems I activated the camera by mistake."

And yes, you're right about Kaworu and her(?) exchanges with Shinji, they DO play up the smart homosexual boy stereotype!

ie: With that picture I posted of Kaworu hugging Shinji amongst the flowers, for instance, Kaworu-kun said something to the affect of: "Friendship is as beautiful as a rose." I think she (Hehe, writing Kaworu=She in terms of her "gay" realtionship with Shinji is one fun mindfuck! ) says something equally stereotypical when Kaworu kisses Shinji in the elavator ride by the caves.

I think it's interesting how despite Shinji acting somewhat(?) ecchi in this (similar to the episode 26 Possible World sequence! "I didn't mean to [see Rei's panties], Cue OOC anime Shinji-kun: but I saw just a quick flash."), he still is more or less his anime counterpart (same with the manga adaption of GoS2)!

And yeah, nobody asked, but I thought this was too cute NOT to translate (plus I understand what's being said!)

(depending on how you translate "suki", can also be translated as "love", although there's also koi (romantic love, lighter feel to it) and ai ("true" love)...And is it just me, or does Shinji NOT look adorable here? )

Oh yeah, and I think I failed to mention this earlier, but it IS the seiyuu-sama from the series, despite what Leakapeida says. Hell, either the Gainax website itself or the Broccoli website has the VA's listed. You'd think however made up that article would figure that out, but no. :roll:

And I dunno if you'd reading/have read the GoS2 manga (Angelic Days) but it has more or less the same plot...just improved in same ways. For instance, it seems like Fumino gives an explaniation SPOILER for why the hell Adam just disappears.
