Favourite piece from the Eva OSTs?

Heya! I'm just personally interested in what other people's favourite piece of music is from Eva's soundtracks (Including EoE as well), and why their reason for liking said music is.

I know it's a lot of people's favourite, but Komm Susser Tod comes to mind for me.
SPOILER: Show
I just love the entire third impact sequence, and having it as the backing music for the entire duration was so messed up in the best way.

I especially like the piano themes such as thanatos, Rei theme, instabilité, robe des champs , tranquilité and so on from Shiro Sagisu. That Guy is a real genius to be able to extract such beautiful melodys out of his head.

On the symphonic side, there is son much to love it's hard to have a single favorite. I just want to suite dôme notable sélection but I'm sure I will forget some essentiels: expansion of blockade (EOE) is a piece of choice, destiny (ROE2.0), keep your heads above the mayhem, instabilité orchestra version, of course tsubasa no kudasai...

I'd say Red Ambassador, Destiny, Fate, the three Nadia tracks, It Will Mean Victory, Scarred and Battled, and Kindred Spirits. The latter most being probably one of the few pieces of music that actually brought me to tears

The pieces with the focus of piano are some of my favourites also, they are disturbingly beautiful in a lot of ways (honestly a perfect fit to the show), so I completely get where you're coming from.

Kindred Spirits is a pretty tragic song. Kaworu and Shinji's interactions really made the third rebuild for me, and for obvious reasons that track always reminds me of the pair of them.

I always think back to the little training montage of Shinji and Asuka with the instrumental version, I've never actually went and listened to the choir version until now. It's really good!

Thanatos, which begins in tragedy and then reaches towards a cosmic comedy.

ShonHam & Joseki, if possible, please refrain from double posting. There is an edit button.

I really like Komm, süßer Tod - Peaceful Times, Zankoku na Tenshi no Theze, Decisive Battle and Fly me To the Moon
Rather boring, I know.

I'd say Robe des Champs from the second Rebuild movie right now (it's the soundtrack used when Kaji tells Shinji about Misato and her presence to the impact). Short but incredibly powerful and beautiful - and originally used in Kare Kano. Very close to that track I'd put Thanatosand 閉塞の拡大 from EoE.

I've noticed quite a few tracks on the OSTs are very lounge-y, if that makes sense. That one is a good example, it's really tranquil and chilled out.

For the sake of not posting a list of pretty much the entire soundtrack, I will limit myself to three themes from NGE and Rebuild each, excluding the Opening, Endings (including Komm, süßer Tod) and remakes of songs.

NGE:
Rei I
Angel Attack
The Beast II

Rebuild:
Angel of Doom
It will mean Victory
Dark Defender

The movies function on their own terms. If people can't accept them on those terms, and keep expecting them to be NGE, then they probably should have realized a while ago that they weren't going to have a good time. ~ Words of wisdom courtesy of Reichu

How about favourite unused tracks? Op-1 is excellent.

The slower and more tender arrangement and performance of Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring from EoE is so lovely.

Yeah, but it's not original to Eva.
