E3 2017

So, E3 is less than a month away now. Anyone thought about what you want to see yet? Honestly it's hard for me to come up with a long list this year, since most of the big games we've been waiting for have been released by now or have release dates, but here's what I'd like to see:

Stuff I know will happen:

Info on new Assassin's Creed game.
Info on Super Mario Odyssey.
SW: Battlefront 2 info (where we find out how many of the new features will actually be paid DLC! )
Star Ocean 3 HD western release date. Released 5/23/17

Stuff I'd like to see:

Days Gone update.
Death Stranding update (kinda meh on this one, after TPP I'm not nearly as much of a Kojima fan as I used to be). Will not be at E3.
Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash western release date (actually I'd like this before E3, since Takaki already said it's coming west this summer).
Senran Kagura: Shinobi Refre info (tentative title, could also be Shinobi Refle. Anyhow, this is the download-only Switch game announced recently).
Fallout 3 and New Vegas HD Remasters for PS4 and X1, with mod support.
Fallout 4 Ultimate Edition (so I can finally play the DLC)
PS4 and X1 port of Dissidia Arcade (about time they officially reveal this).
Final Fantasy VII Remake info and release window for part 1.
Armored Warfare announced for PS4 (already know this is coming eventually, Sony accidentally posted the beta version on the PS Store back in February).
Info on Kingdom Hearts 3 and new trailer.

Unlikely stuff I'd like to see:

New Obsidian-developed Fallout game.
Info on Senran Kagura 7 (game was teased at the end of SK: PBS in Japan).
PS4 remasters of Senran Kagura Burst, Deep Crimson, Shinovi Versus, and Bon Appetit.
New non-spinoff mainline Pokemon game developed with the Switch as its main platform (already rumored to be happening, and I WILL BUY THE CONSOLE FOR THIS IF IT'S TRUE!)
New trailer for the Resident Evil 2 Remake.

So, what's on your E3 2017 wish list?

Square Enix has been teasing images of Star Ocean 3 on their Instagram, so I'm hoping we get a North American release date soon.

Other than that I'd just like to hear some news about Kingdom Hearts 3.

I have never played a Kojima game, so I might be talking outta my ass... But from what I've heard, Konami was responsible for the problems with The Phantom Pain. So now with Sony treating him like a god, there might be chance this will turn out ok. To be honest, Death Stranding is the first game from Kojima that seems interesting to me. But I'm sure this won't be released before 2019.

Other than that... Persona 5 and FFXV, my two main reasons to buy the PS4 have been released. Nier:Automata is gorgeous. I still wanna play Gravity Rush 2, Ratched & Clank, and so many other titles... I'm glad that games don't seem to be as gud any more as they have been for the first four months of 2017

So what's left? Business reports state KH3 and FF7R are not slated for the coming business year and are slotted under "2018 and beyond". Nomura also said, despite this year being the 10th anniversary of KH3, the game is still "mada mada"... So not yet -> e.g. far off.
New trailer would still be cool, though.

Embarrassingly, I keep forgetting KH3 is in development now. Also I had kinda given up hope on SO3 being re-released in the west after they only released it in Japan, didn't know they were still teasing it on social media. I still don't understand why it wasn't a global release since the director's cut version ('til the End of Time) already has an English sub, and that's the version they remastered. Anyhow, I'll be adding those two to my list. Thanks for reminding me.

I also want to play Nier: Automata and Gravity Rush 2, but first I need to finish my massive backlog of unfinished PS4 games that keep piling up on my entertainment unit due to the amount of time I've spent playing World of Tanks.

Square Enix Europe has recently trademarked the english title of the game, "Till the End of Time", and I guess english versions of trophies have been getting leaked. I think it's only a matter of time really.

Turns out that "time" won't be long at all! It's releasing in NA and EU on May 23, that's next week!

http://gematsu.com/2017/05/star-ocean-t ... ay-23-west

I won't be able to buy it until the 25th, but that'll be the first thing I do when I get home from work. I have the 26th off, and I know what I'll be playing! Can't believe I'm so hyped for a 13-year-old game I've already sunk hundreds of hours into over the years, but I can't wait to play it again. :D

How about that? :w00t: Just in time for the end of the semester and before my birthday.

I guess that just leaves KH3 on my E3 wishlist.

Ouch... a new article says FFVIIR and KH3 might not be released until 2020.

http://gematsu.com/2017/05/final-fantas ... hree-years

To be fair it does say "within the next 3 fiscal years," but still, that's really vague. So much for FFVIIR part 1 being released on the original's 20th anniversary. :raincloud:
I'm also really disappointed that a PS4 port of Dissidia Arcade isn't anywhere on that list.

The only thing I care about is more Final Fantasy 7 Remake, we've been waiting a long time for more, and Nomura has more to show.

@Iron - Yea, from a lot of recent news, CC2 had been working on a lot of the development with just input from Square, and now they are shifting the focus to in house.

What I find really quite strange is, It's confirmed that the Remake will be released in parts, however the title of the game still stands as just "Final Fantasy 7 Remake"... as in no "Part 1, Part 2, or Part 3, etc".

Maybe when E3 hits, we'll get the title version for the first part, and hopefully a release date. I'm just banking on seeing more game-play past the bombing mission. I really really really want to see Aerith, Tifa, President Shinra, and Reno. I'd like a hell of a lot more game play if that's even possible.

It crazy to think Nomura had the Guard Scorpion boss fight to show us, but Square didn't let him.

I'd also like the Dissida arcade port too. If possible it'd be the awesome if they added Noctis and Ardyn.

Edit - Something else I'd love to see is a Nier Remaster. Automata has done really well and the staff have stated they'd look into working on a remaster. The game is hard to find now.

Yeah I saw an article on how they're switching everything over to in-house development, and I'm kinda worried about that. Changes this major happening during development do not bode well, just look at what happened with FF Versus XIII/FFXV and Metal Gear Rising. I wouldn't be surprised if they have to start over now, but I'm hoping that's not the case. I also want to see Aeris and Tifa's new models, if they butchered those two there'll be hell to pay.

As for FFXV characters I want to see in the new Dissidia, I really hope Gladiolus, Iris, and Regis are added. I'm also hoping they'll go back and add more characters from previous games. If Zack, Vincent, Fang, Aeris, Basch, and Fran get in, it would probably be my instant GOTY.

Things I expect at E3:
-New Harvest Moon PS4 game
-Evil Within 2
-Pokemon Stars reveal

Things I hope too see at E3
-Bloodborne 2
-Final Fantasy XV new expansion (world of versus)

Everything else I wanted is already out. There isn't much more I want from this generation, I'll focus on finishing up games I bought and start looking forward to the next gaming generation.

I'm guessing Square learned about the PS5 and decided to push the FF7R to the PS5 so all parts are on the same console. And KHIII will probably be one of the final PS4 games this generation. That's what I think.

Yeah that sounds likely. I'm fully expecting the PS5 to be announced next year and launched in 2019 or 2020. That's actually why I'm not buying a PS4 Pro or Project Scorpio. If console devs are going to put out new consoles every 3 years then I'll just skip the mid-gen upgrades, since a completely new and more powerful console will be coming out 3 years from then. $400+ is too much money to be shelling out every 3 years anyhow.

Considering Japan recently discontinued the PS3, the slim PS4 model is out (which usually indicated the halfway point of a console's life), and Xbox seemingly releasing their "next" console -- I think the PS5 very real and will happen by 2020.

Death stranding - I'm mildly interested. I need to see gameplay though, CG trailers don't convince me.

Possible reveal of new FROMSOFT title - DS3 felt unfinished and was bland / boring for me, hopefully they're allowed to finish and do something fresh and new with their new game.

Wow, not only is Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash going to be shown at E3 by XSEED this year, but series creator Kenichiro Takaki will make his first-ever American appearance at the XSEED booth as well!

http://gematsu.com/2017/06/xseed-games- ... 017-lineup

And according to Twitter, he's going to be signing autographs for two hours! Damn, this is the one time I wish I could actually attend E3.

Here's a list of all the confirmed conferences and streams so far:

http://gematsu.com/2017/06/e3-2017-pres ... g-schedule

I'm very interested in what Sony, Bethesda, Nintendo, and XSEED have to reveal. Sadly it looks like Square-Enix's event might just be a big Stormblood promotion, since that's the only game they've listed so far.

Also, Sony is saying that a lot of Japanese developers are leaving mobile gaming and coming back to console. :D

I remember when someone or other at Square-Enix opined that Final Fantasy XV would make or break the future of consoles. Whether or not that was accurate, I'm glad to hear this news (if, likewise, it's accurate).

FF Dissidia has been confirmed for PS4 for a while, but glad they're finally giving us a window.
As for death stranding, it's been pretty obvious to be a PS5 game since the first trailer ^_^

The Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood Launch trailer was released.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBEvWWdKOBA

________
Dissidia trailer was pretty good, and the release window was even better.

Now as long as we can get a Remake trailer I'll be set, and I didn't even think about FFXV, but a trailer showing off Episode Prompto and the other DLCs would be nice.

One thing that is confirmed not to be at E3 is Halo 3 Anniversary and Halo 6. I don't care too much for Halo 6, but Halo 3 Anniversary I was hoping for.
