I looked for it, but couldn't find it. If this topic already exists - or this question is answered in some part of the wiki, I have simply overlooked - then feel fee to delete this topic, and know I'm sorry.

So, I was wondering, is there an in-universe explanation why there's been a 15 year gap between Second Impact and the appearance of the Third Angel? I mean all the Angels after the third appeared in rather rapid succession.
"It's in the Dead Sea Scrolls", would be a rather lame answer.

It should be noted that Sachiel was the first offspring of Adam (to appear). Adam and Lilith shouldn't technically count as Angels. When Adam briefly awoke for Second Impact, he spread his eggs everywhere. It probably just took fifteen years for the eggs to reach maturity and grow into fully-fledged Angels.

One key addition to that: Adam's Gates of Guf opened at Second Impact, which resulted in the Angels receiving souls, triggering them to begin their ontological development.

(...Don't let the multiple meanings of "Angel" confuse you this far in the game!)
